I stopped using binance a while back as i just couldn't get on with it, and I've moved over to Bybit which i prefer way more. I only have about £60 in BTC in that account and wanted to transfer it to my Bybit account, but whenever I paste in the wallet address i want to send the funds to on Binance, it initially says "This address matches a BTC network address. Please select the correct network you wish to make the withdrawal on."
the options i have are these;
Binance Chain (BNB) BEP2 - Fee £0.097813
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) BEP20 (BSC) - Fee £0.192133
BTC - Fee £17.47
Ethereum (ETH) ERC20 - Fee £10.48
If i select anything except BTC I get the message "The address does not match the currently selected network, it is recommended that you switch to another network."
Obviously, i don't want to spent near a third of the coin i have on binance on transferring it over if i can help it. Is there anything i can do here? I tried using the support option on Binance, but I wasn't able to get through to an actual human, and the autoattendant wasn't much help.
Thanks.
I am one person who usually transfers funds between Binance and Bybit. The best Options to use are EOS or XRP since they support both coins
Binance charge withdrawal fee of 0.1 EOS (0.46 USD) and 0.25 (0.13 USD) for EOS and XRP respectively.
- Make sure you select the EOS and XRP main chain options when withdrawing from Binance and ignore the other BEP2 and BSC options because Bybit doesn't support them
- Remember to include the Memo for EOS and Destination tag for XRP alongside the deposit addresses generated from Bybit or else no deposit will be credited to your account.
- Bybit has an internal exchange you can use to swap you EOS or XRP back to BTC if you want.
