Best Altcoins for Easy Mining

I'm fairly new to the mining sector, and with Bitcoin being particularly hard to mine for somebody with fairly expensive electricity and no current-generation mining hardware, I was wondering about everyone's recommendations for an easy-to-mine altcoin. I've been seeing some information online about how certain cryptocurrencies can be ASIC-resistant, so that category is probably what I'm looking for. I'm not planning on doing any production mining, so this is more just as a fun side project. If you have a random coin that just had its ICO I'm definitely still interested, especially if it's easy to mine on an older computer.

I agree so if OP is just planning to have it for having fun then staking could also be an ideal thing for him. There are a lot of staking coins that can be done only through wallets that support it. You only need to search for it and research for a bit.

I think that vertcoin is the best coin to mine for you consider it's also already asic resistant. The volume is quite low but it's good to mine it consider the difficulty is not so hard as major coin like dash ethereum or something else.
