hello guys i just got an S9k and its not working, i took out the control board from a z9, installed the s9k firmware, not working, put back the original control board, and disconnected all boards, tried one by one, and they all work individually, but if i connect all 3 at the same time, it does nothing, but it hashes with 2 boards, didn't make this test with the other control board, but makes me think there's something wrong with the control board. also can i swap the control boards of the s9 and s9k? will and s9 board work on a s9k? thanx a lot for your help.

I have found that of my 4 s9k's 2 of them run with 2 boards and 2 run with 3 boards.

So I suspect that the boards are the issue not the controllers.

Since I have 10 of 12 boards working I just let them mine on.

No, they use different control boards.

If you confirmed that all 3 hash boards are fine but the miner will only work with two then the first thing to suspect would be the PSU, of course this assumes you cross-checked all the data/ribbon cables.

Hi, in reality I believe that the 3 cards are working well, as you said, I also believe that the power supply is not the problem (I'm sure) ...

post the kernel with the 3 cards connected ... you will find this (my for exemple, just have two hashboard)

read chain
  • hardware info:
major type: 0
minor type: 2
chip level: 0
bom version: 0x10
pcb version: 0x39
fixture 8pattern result: L0

read chain [1] hardware info:
major type: 0
minor type: 2
chip level: 0
bom version: 0x10
pcb version: 0x39
fixture 8pattern result: L0

and, I am almost sure that the 3 cards do not have the same version, which results in the original firmware controlling if the 3 cards are coded identical, if this is not the case, it stops the hashboard , I pence that you bought a second-hand miner with 3 different cards from diferrent miners ...
