You must flash bios to 8g using ch341a or similar supported bios flasher.it will not flash bios on mobo. Get from techpowerup samsung bios. 1st try same brand bios samsung 8g it should work. good luck

Is it possible to flash BIOS on the card before changing the RAM chips?

If you mean put on mobo and flash? No you cant because it will not accept new bios like that. With programmer you can do it before soldering

I have another idea. Install hive os on a USB flash drive and see if this video card will mine
First, run the video card on standard settings for half a day, if there are no errors, then overclock the video card.
Can you tell the store where you bought the memory for your video card?

hi,

is not working, i receive an error on gpu initialization
Why are you insisting im telling you it will not work until you make proper bios flash believe me. order ch341a it is only 5-10$ price and you will flash your bios in 5 minutes.

Hi, before answering i have tried to write the flash using CH341a. Flash process was successful, however i had the same issue or gpu initialization. I tried to see if it works using hiveos.

I can post a picture with the card, or i can post original bios here, maybe someone with more experience could take a look.

Did you run memory test after successful bios install? Did you tried install drivers after memory test on windows? Share model card and bios here.

The ATI Pixel Clock Patcher(PCP) removes the signature checking so the drivers don't fail after bios upgrade. (code 43)

Windows only

Here i found more interesting one. Changing gtx1060 3g hynix to 6g. Nvidia is a bit tricky you need find correct combination of resistors. But most amazing thing is hynix memory working under samsung straps Smiley never knew this one.

I cannot install driver in windows (error 43 even with patch) in hiveos also unable to see the card ( problem resizing baro -22). tried different bios, programmed with ch341a => same result

card details:
Sapphire pulse radeon rx 580 4G gddr5
sku: 11265-09
