Hey guys,

so I was planning to buy an Amazaon gift card worth of 650€ in LTC on Monday on bitrefill.com.
First thing I noticed was, that the website was pretty slow that day.
Their web system seemed overloaded and I already had an HTTP request result in an error while browsing their offers, but I still proceeded with my order as I was in a bit of a hurry.

I sent 2.84 LTC to my LTC Core wallet from an exchange (slightly more than the 650€ at that time just to be sure I can fulfil their order).
I checked out my order and right at the start of the 30-minute time window I sent the requested 2.779347 LTC to the address associated with the order.
Unfortunately the incoming LTC payment wasn't recognized by their system in time (possibly due to server overload), so the 30 minutes window timed out without the sent LTC being recognized.

Afterwards I got notified via e-mail, that I'm eligible for a refund, as the 2.77 LTC arrived late in their systems.
At this point I entered the same LTC address I used for the payment as destination address for the refund.
The HTTP request for the refund resulted in another web server error and no refund was issued on the LTC blockchain.
Also, I am not able to request a refund again as the order is flagged as already refunded in their system.

I also tracked in a blockchain explorer, that my payment was collected from the LTC address I payed towards bitrefill's Kraken account, which happened about 7 hours after the payment.

So of course I immediately wrote a support inquiry to support@bitrefill.com.
I had an interaction with a support person after posting on their reddit on Wednesday, and they told me they escalated to management and informed their tech team.
But now another 2 days have passed and I didn't hear anything from them.

It's 4 days now since I'm waiting for my 2.779347 LTC.
I provided them the option to call me on my mobile number to clarify stuff.

Does anyone have similar experiences with bitrefill.com during the last week?
I understand that these are busy times and it was probably a peak in service demand due to the bull market, which might have led to the timed out web server requests.
Still I expect them to deal with customer funds responsibly even if technical issues occur.
Soon it will be a full week without having a refund or at least an estimate for when it will occur.

Can provide screenshots with some personal information censored, if there are any doubts.

Can you get in touch with the support rep on Reddit again? Maybe he can let you know if anything has progressed. I would give it a couple more days and open a scam accusation if nothing else.

Got my refund today finally, after a week. Happily no scam accusation is necessary, though yes, their support is pretty busy.

bitrefill.com is a famous and reliable company, so if they decide to scam, it will be with much larger amounts.
i am happy that all problems are solved.
Also, no one can help you here except the support team, so you must wait for several days and communicate with them on Reddit because they are active there.
