Casper: P2P Payment System

1. Introduction

In this period when everything is digitalized, many big steps are taken to digitalize your money. The biggest of these breakthroughs is currently in Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin succeeded in eliminating financial institutions, today it is far from its origins. Bitcoin started out as a Peer-to-Peer Cash Payment system. However, currently Bitcoin is only viewed as a store of value. Also, despite starting off decentrally, most of the hash power is now held by several pools. This make centralizes bitcoin.

Some of Bitcoin's Issues

1-Scalability

Bitcoin can only process 7 transactions per second. Visa can process 65k transactions per second. Many ideas have been put forward to improve Bitcoin performance. Proof of Stake, Vbft, Segwit Directed Acyclic Graph ...
But currently none have become mainstream. We use the Avalanche Consensus algorithm to solve the scalability problem.

2-Security

Bitcoin hasn't been hacked since 2009 when it was somewhat secure. However, the fact that gHash.io owns 51% of the network hash also showed that there is a risk of this happening again. While Proof of Stake algorithms are better in terms of security, they bring the network closer to centralization. We will reduce the amount of bets required to solve the security problem and become a validator for a network that is resistant to sybil attacks and distribute the coins with regular airdrops. We are planning to make 60 thousand airdrops every 2 months. The initial supply will be 1.6m and airdrops will continue for 6 years.

3-Whales

Whales are actually big investors and are beneficial to the system. However, they have large supply ratios paving the way for price manipulation.
By distributing the coins with airdrop, we can prevent the whales from having a large supply and make prices more consistent.

2. Infrastructure

The blockchain infrastructure we currently use does not have the scalability to handle the financial burden. It currently uses the PoW system in 3 of the most used cryptocurrencies. (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether)
At first, Satoshi Nakamoto thought this system would have a decentralized nature. Ethereum in Bitcoin is no different than a centralized system dominated by mining pools.We thought, what can we do to overcome this? We found the solution to create a new cryptocurrency based on Avalanche Consensus-DAG-Proof of Stake-Airdrops. Avalanche-DAG-Airdrops-Proof of Stake These alone don't make sense, but by combining them we can get an almost perfect system..

We are a team of several college students working on cryptography. Our aim is to bring cryptocurrencies to a level that we can use in our daily life. And we are looking for support to make our idea come true.
