What happened::
I think I found a scam in development, but I'm not sure. It's Victoria VR, a new platform (in virtual reality) selling tokens representing assets in their VR game.
There are a few problems, first their claims about the platform don't stand. They are just showing 3D assets they got cheaply from the internet. They literally didn't even change colours or something. They promise "next gen characters" but what they show is actually just a freely downloadable example from another company.
Second, the exchange they are listed on, they also own, I found out about that in this article https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/n7gyso/new_tech_old_tricks_victoria_vr_and_dexfin/.

The highlights from the article
  • The assets are just cheap, not technologically advanced as claimed
  • The exchange and the game are owned by the same people but they don't disclose this

Do you think this is a scam?

I haven't done much digging but looking at their team alone would be enough for me to avoid their project. All the team members have got their faces covered using the Virtual Reality headset  Cheesy
If they are genuine and not scammers, then I don't see why they would attempt to hide their faces.

I don't know much about VR, I just understand that buying intellectual property products only changes the status of ownership rights or usage rights. Copyright will remain with the original creator. As long as the team doesn't claim that the VR examples they present are their own work, that's fine. However it would be unethical if the main product of their project is actually about VR while they are taking samples from the product they bought. This is a sign that the competence of the team in this field needs to be questioned.

I see they have more team members in the field of product development, it doesn't hurt if you ask them to show their team portfolio before collaborating with this project.

-snip-
Do you think this is a scam?

I conclude this is an early indication of scam.

I haven't done much digging but looking at their team alone would be enough for me to avoid their project. All the team members have got their faces covered using the Virtual Reality headset  Cheesy
If they are genuine and not scammers, then I don't see why they would attempt to hide their faces.
If you highlight the photo, you will see the face of the team, please try it.

I think so as well, the main issue is the question of competency.
They have so many team members that for a minute I thought it's not a scam, until I looked into them a bit closer (they have links to their linkedin profiles on the website).
They all tried to really spice up their profiles, but they just don't have the required background. The two main guys are lawyers, one is IT admin, one is Feng Shui consultant (how random) the rest of them are high school and uni students.
