Bitcoin would always be uncompareable when it comes to cryptomarket, just because you could see a potential in good coins doesn’t mean that it could overtake the bitcoin that easily. Bitcoin is the base cryptocurrency in crypto market, when we say blockchain technology the bitcoin is the center of attention of it. Also, not because the supply of the coins is too many doesn’t mean that it could be unstoppable.

I find this comparison completely inappropriate. First, they are two different worlds with different goals. Secondly, I personally believe that EOS is a big scam project that at the time was only pursuing a massive fundraiser, nothing more. The project has been on the market for many years and its development is dying for me.

First off EOS is NOT mineable... (mining is the current topic these days)

As we all know BTC has less than 21 million tokens...(deaths, lost passwords etc) ...GOod thing for its value but the decimal places though... EOS has 1 billion tokens... Roll Eyes

any thoughts?

they are totally uncomparable between BTC and EOS. BTC remains its position and highly fluctuated coin that is why they risky coin but more profitable in time. EOS now a days are slowly taken away by crypto users and traders because its value in the market is slowly depreciated which the project looks no development at all.

If you talk about the value of this year's price when compared to 2017, of course there is a lot of difference, this year some coins experienced movement, although some did not reach ATH, but there was an increase.
Different from EOS, not at all, like a coin that has no interest, even though EOS is a good coin to trade.

I think the biggest problem causing the EOS to be weak is the factors below.
Quote
In a unique twist, token holders have the ability to vote for block producers — as well as other matters such as protocol upgrades.

Unfortunately, some of the most distinguishing features of EOS are those that certain critics dislike the least. There are those that argue that extensive Block.one’s involvement with this project means it’s rather centralized — and some argue this is the opposite of what blockchains and cryptocurrencies were meant to achieve.

Many investors and traders leave EOS and choose other coins that they think are promising.
It's hard to say, because so far there are many other coins, which have a lower supply and the potential for profit is promising.

And you just did the discussion. But for me it's the wrong comparison. Ethereum vs EOS could be a good one.
Ethereum - Smart Contracts and EOS - DApps
The problem is many users stayed with Ethereum just applying smart contracts that are user-friendly and I know EOS has the same goal to make life easier for developers. But I think the marketing strategy is what they badly needed.
Waves got a lot more hype when it was presented but it was also a fast decline, same thing happened with EOS. Did they try to keep up?

For thousand of coins existing , where did you get that idea to compare this to Bitcoin? EOS is just a trash coin that once made people believe of its good existence but ending up being a loser.

I remember also that there are many projects used this platform but now almost everything got out and use other platform because of no future from this project.

And you just did the discussion. But for me it's the wrong comparison. Ethereum vs EOS could be a good one.

This is a Good sentiment to compare Ethereum instead of Bitcoin because they are not.

if you use the search function you will see threads about eos  like this as ex . https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145834.0  and this topic you created is another addition . mining isnt the current topic these days but it was staking because there are complaints that mining uses more energy but staking can be a better alternative .
that could be the advantage of eos over bitcoin but many people will still favor btc

EOS is of course a very popular cryptocurrency, but lately I have already forgotten when I saw that any cryptocurrency project would create its own cryptocurrency on the EOS blockchain, since there are other blockchains that are much more popular and better than EOS blockchain, therefore, news about EOS has not been seen at all recently, although large players are investing a lot of money in EOS and this already says something, and of course bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and this is already enough to invest in bitcoin.

EOS focuses on the gaming ecosystem, and has many platforms within the EOS network, it is great for the gaming industry in the future, while bitcoin has the highest confidence when compared to bitcoin but it is better, but for those of you who like the gaming industry, investing in EOS is the right choice. because there are so many gaming platforms with the EOS network.
Yes, i have also heard that EOS is also very popular in gambling, which is probably the only comparison between EOS and BTC.
When i first saw OP comparing EOS to BTC, i was confuse, what is the comparison between these two cryptocurrencies, an underground and a heaven.

EOS vs BITCOIN Is this for real?  Did you think about it before comparing, and why bitcoin? It's too far by the way and it's really obvious also that EOS is nothing even when it comes to some alternative coins in the marker especially below bitcoin such ETH and along with some trusted projects in market..

You can't really compare EOS to Bitcoin in my opinion though, as it does not feature the same platform or experience usage performed?

I do not think that EOS is worth comparing with bitcoin because bitcoin and EOS are different. We agree that bitcoin can be our main investment and EOS can be the other investment that can help us make a profit in the short term. But bitcoin can become your short and long-term investment because the price can go up and down many times, so you can buy low and sell high.

I still have some EOS after I sold at a high peak, and I am waiting for the next rally for EOS but that if the price can increase high. If the price can not increase, I will buy EOS and hold it until the price increases again. But for bitcoin, I will hold it and not selling if I do not have an urgent thing. Bitcoin is worth to have and that is the main investment.

Even ETH vs BTC discussions were totally off the mark too I would say, we're talking about different algos, different users, different utilities. EOS would probably see ETH as the main network to "kill" but even BSC has overtaken EOS in that regard (and both are highly centralized too so even that's a more appropriate comparison).
