D3 flashing TO L3, L3 BOARD INSIDE D3

Hi guys,
I don't know if you noticed that there is an L3 board inside thf D3 but I just noticed it.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO FLASH A D3 Into an L3?
Does anybody try it?

According to Bitmain yes it's the same board for the L3,L3+,L3++,D3,A3,X3

So all you would need to do is flash the firmware you need.
You may or may not need to use the SD card method depending on the revision of the firmware that is already on it.
There are guides on the Bitmain site.

Yes this boards have the same Controller board and thats it.
The asic boards are different. Because ASIC, the name say it XD

So no you can´t make an D3 to a L3.

You are correct. I misread it. I was thinking he was asking about swapping a dead control board for a good one between units.
Something I have had to do a lot on Bitmain gear
