Imagine buying a RX5500XT at 750$+ just because of the love about power efficiency while I can get my hands on gtx1660 @350-400$ here in my country, isn't that a big difference and moreover the Hashrate are the same, I can grab a 27mh out of my 1660 @ 70watt and Yes 5500XT can do 27mh at 53watt, so tempting but price won't let me 😭😭😭😭 is there any insanely power efficiency GPU like 5500XT out there?

It depends on your country prices. Both cards that you want to get are low end cards and their consumption is low.I and most of us consider the most power efficient cards the RTX 3060 ti which does 60 mhsh at 120watt and the Rx 5700 xt which does 55 Mhsh at 125-130 watt.I know these cards are hard to get though but the prices have started to fall down.If I wanted to buy between RX 5500 XT and 1660 I would go for anyone of them. They won't do much though in term of hashrate as their hashrate is very low compared to other cards.

1660 can do 27MH, two of this GPU already meet up between a RX5700XT and 3060TI and the price is even cheaper, I'd go with the 1660 unless the 5500XT is at a close range in price next to the 1660 all because of the 8gb the GPU has (5500XT)

I don't believe the RX5500XT draws 53watt from the wall. Real consumption will be 10-20 watts higher. I have an RX5600 6GB Sapphire with Samsung memory. The real consumption is 90-95 watts from the wall with a hash of 39 megahash.
If you build 1 farm on 1660 graphics cards for $ 350, you definitely won't lose. You can recoup your investment in 1 year or less, but this is not certain.

Have you first considered the power cost in your Country in comparision to most countries?

If the power is cheaper per KWh than most parts of the world, then buying the gtx1660 wouldn't be a bad idea. You would only think of the RX5500XT if the power costs were very high.

I think an important factor is the 1660 is 6gb card while the 5500xt is a 4gb card.  So 4gb limits your ability to mine different coins.  If you're only talking about mining etc than understandable.

I think he talks about the 8 GB version of the RX 5500 XT,as it would be stupid nowadays to buy a graphic card with only 4 GB of VRAM which is good only for ETC,UBIQ,MUSIC,PIRL etc.I believe also to get the 1660 as even though a 6 GB card it has higher hash rate at KawPow algorithm 10.5Mhsh against 7.5Mhsh of the Rx 5500 XT 8 GB in case Ethereum go PoS as it is planned.

The modern RX 5500 XT 8 GB is much worse at mining coins than the 5-year-old RX480 8 GB video card.
25-27 megahash when mining Ethereum, there are some models with a higher hash rate.
After the end of Ethereum mining, this video card will lose Nvidia to video cards when mining other coins.

You are wrong here mate, rx5500XT has 8gb versions as well just like how 570 and 580 GPUs have 4gb and 8gb versions too, you can still mine ergo and raven coin using 4gb though but 8gb GPUs are always future proof

Yes I'm running on solar setup with 2400 watt solar panel and on a good sunny day my charge controller always display 1700watt available for use, I don't use grid that much, probably just for few hours but most times I mine on solar energy
