If the majority of the US citizens are preferring to buy European cars to the US made cars, maybe it is because American made cars suck.

From what I read main reason Americans prefer Asian and European cars is that American cars are big gas guzzlers. That plus what people consider are luxury cars are also mostly European brands. Maybe these American companies should listen to what the market wants? 😁

I'm from the UK and I agree with this completely. Leaving the EU is a phenomenal act of hubris. There are plenty of people in the UK who are a century out of date, and think we still rule the world. They don't see that the UK alone has zero negotiating power against big economies, such as the US or indeed (once we leave) the EU.

Isn't the main reason for Brexit border control? I understand that freedom of movement among EU citizens is part of being a member but the immigrant quotas seem to be too much. I'm an Asian observer and I was shocked when I first heard the Brussel bureaucrats can just force individual countries to accept "refugees" from outside the EU.

But yeah, the UK is in for a lot of pain. The EU also wouldn't just let it go away scot-free to deter other members from leaving too.

Trump escalates trade war rhetoric with threat to tax Europe-made cars
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/.../trump-escalates-trade-war-threat-tax-eu-cars
18 hours ago - Donald Trump has escalated the threat of a trade war with Europe, warning that the US will slap a tax on cars made on the continent if the European Union (EU) retaliates against tariffs on imports of steel and aluminium. ... On Saturday Trump hit back in typical style, writing on..

No BUT you have to pay the USA to in their club ?

See the EU charge everyone else outside to trade    LIKE we the UK brexiters want out BUT they said
we will get charged tariffs and other penalties if we leave  Tongue..

So what the difference when the USA say the same as what your saying to the UK? Kiss..

See if your companies are government funded like paying workers and what not how do proper
companies who have no government funded companies compete ?

Now remember you said you want the west to be a CAPITALIST countries like no public funded stuffs
because the rich don't like sharing..

So now what TRUMP is doing is fair TRADE Wink..Oh yes it is ..
You pay for labour out of our taxes and give it to the likes of bombardier now what if i want to make a plane does the government pay for my workers my shop and what not PLUS all the profits i get to keep them..

So enjoy CAPITALISM  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy..

I see the future and it will become a BATTLE GROUND all because of no UNIVERSAL INCOME..

Just think you can stop it HOW YOU ASK?..

Give everyone 10k a year to live on as a starting point to live to spend Wink.
Oh you cannot do this you say?..

SO WHY ARE THESE LEECHES ON THIS MUCH THEN?..
The basic annual salary for an MP from 1 April 2017 is £76,011. MPs also receive expenses to cover the costs of running an office, employing staff, having somewhere to live in London and in their constituency, and travelling between Parliament and their constituency.

ALL FOR TALKING SHIT^^^^^^THE LEECHES^^^^^^^^^^

Now 10k is a 7th of a MPs universal income <<They get it till they die Angry Angry Angry
And a massive PENSION Angry Angry Angry Angry..

SO UNIVERSAL INCOME Wink Wink..

Rich and poor get it no questions asked ..
It never gets stopped till we die..
ARR but MPs get 76k and pension till they die Wink..AND FOR WHAT Undecided :-\Talking shit Wink..

LIE LIE LIE for 76k ..
Well we want 10k just for being a HUMAN Wink a starting point to spend to live to feel alive

you get punished if you are not aligned with the rules, usa also punishes cuba for not being its slave.

EU are not a bunch of idiots like the brits who you can just dump a ton of chlorinated chicken on, and then leave them with their banana republic worthless currency alone.
thats how superpowers nowadays destroy mini countries like the lunatics on the british island

That is right. But the UK has always the support of the US even before the EU.
The anglosaxon group may be come together if the UK leaves the European Union. Negotiating power may be less but in some situations due to the fact that UK would be back by the US now.

angolosaxon group doesnt mean anything it is banking cartel vs banking cartel they all dont want to be in debt and look bad and they all dont want to get into dependency of foreign population regarding production.

Obviously not speaking for all 'leave voters', but a big reason 'leave' won the referendum was rampant xenophobia stoked up by the media. A lot of people feel disenfranchised because of growing inequality in our society, and they are looking for someone to lash out at. Instead of attacking the Conservative party that causes the inequality, they instead lash out at whoever the tabloid press tells them is the villain. Usually 'foreigners'. I actually heard people complaining - the day after the result - that the black and asian people hadn't 'gone home yet'. It's appalling, not just the hatred but also the stupidity - they don't realise that immigrants with a different skin colour are often from outside the EU anyway and wouldn't be affected.

But yeah, the UK is in for a lot of pain. The EU also wouldn't just let it go away scot-free to deter other members from leaving too.
Yes, true. Scotland also seem to think that if they leave the UK they can then rejoin the EU as an independent nation. Absolutely won't happen. That would give the green light to separatists everywhere, from Catalonia to Bavaria.

As soon as we leave the EU, the US will bleed us dry. Their private healthcare firms will cherry-pick from the NHS, aided by a Conservative government who want to privatise everything they see.

It's a funny thing with cars. I've been fishing for a ford focus in the EU last year and found that the US versions are much better and more comfortable. 90% of EU cars were manuals with 90-125 hp, while 90% of models from the us were automatics with 150-200 hp. So I'm not that sure if Americans really want EU cars so much. When they are feeling like driving something with a good gas mileage they choose a honda, a toyota, or a hyundai.

its more about the mercedes and BMW not the low-end family cars
the proposed tarriff rates meant to rise extremely high for the high end vehicles but not move for the low end vehicles

Yes, true. Scotland also seem to think that if they leave the UK they can then rejoin the EU as an independent nation. Absolutely won't happen. That would give the green light to separatists everywhere, from Catalonia to Bavaria.

if scots rejoin eu better be bad europeans, because the damn EU is very corrupt and under foreign lobby influence it is actively seeking to enslave all europeans to african problems, they are completely out of mind and out of that issue i completely can understand uk why they left it.

EUROCRATS are big retards.

Is it really? I'm probably asking the wrong person, because you're not from the US, but in the EU most people love US cars.

Sure they're expensive to run but if you ask someone if he'd prefer a c300 or a charger/camaro/mustang from a similar price range, I can bet that 90% people will choose one of the Americans. You can get more luxury cars in the EU, that's a fact, but what I wanted to say is that the exchange goes both ways. We take consummer and sports cars from them and they are interested in our exotics since we're making all the Lambos and Bugattis.

royalties exist in order to guard the top that would be the top of the republic, without a royalty the top heads would be massively corrupt.

The United Kingdom has been negotiating a free trade agreement with the european union for some time but there was no consensus. European politics has been in a state of turmoil for some time with advocates of european unity long trying to build their own political circle in world geopolitics without tying the knot with the united states but some of their own weaknesses economic and some unethical interests and the united states will now follow different laws from the european union in terms of travel trade immigration and security cooperation. In other words the country will come out of the single market and customs union of europe and run on its own.

I am not following the trade war between USA and EU very closely. Trump did create new protections for some part of the economy but didn't Biden revert these changes again? I remember that there were some negotiations for a free trade agreement but it got blocked in the end. The democrats are more for free trade than the republicans, so it could be that under Biden now these talks will be held again. In the end trade wars are hurting both countries, free trade would be the best for all of us.
