I dont see polkadot to be the best environment for projects. Its not building user base as fast as solana, avax, not even mentioning BSC. And I don't think we need more than 3 fast chains.

Will this coin push to 500$? Well as always it all depends on overall crypto market permeance. So far we see strong correction. BTC just broke support on 58k. I would not expect KSM to grow when everything else is falling (fail to hit 500$ target). If we will see strong market bounce ... I would not expect KSM to grow as fast as others (succeed to hit 500$ target but other projects will outperform KSM).

It has already reached $500 early this March - June.

But as the typical market for alts like Kusama, they can go back there just as we've seen with BNB and other top altcoins.

I don't hold this much and not into it but if you've held since $500 then you have no option but to hold.

I am looking forward to Kusama too since I own Polkadot (DOT) too.
So for sure, if you support Polkadot, you should support Kusama too that's why I own these two coins too.

Next year could be the best day for the Polkadot ecosystem and Kusama too especially since the first parachain auction in Polkadot is already done. I am hoping too that we will still not go to the bear market until next year so we will see how Kusama will perform.

What are you researching with it?

The truth is that it has grown very strongly since the beginning of the year , maybe you need more time to understand it. Personally, I am making good profits with this coin and its ecosystem. Maybe you require to learn to be more patient with any coin, it won't go up in price as soon as you buy it, but it will surprise you one day if you really believe in it.

Ok, but what percentage are we talking about? 5% of supply? 10% of supply? Its nothing compared to 99.5% dump that is possible if its the end of current bull market and everything will dump from 80-99%. Dont forget that ksm does not have Max Supply. How high is inflation currently? How many coins are being issued each block?

I dont think that at current bubble stage the fact that part of supply will be locked is enough to protect price from dumping with whole market.

I had hard time finding exact tokenomics, to figure out how tokens are distributed, so I checked what coinmarketcap have to say and there was no max supply. But you might be correct. According to coingecko its 10 000 000 KSM. Sorry, my mistake.

But it does not change the fact, that speculating on altcoins, based on their fundamentals, at current market situation is rather pointless because at the end of the day its all about answering 1 question ... is it the end of bull run or not.

Over rated blockchain. Too many people are thinking that parachain will bring huge demand again but they're wrong about that. If you're expecting a huge growth from para chain and that's really wrong opinion. Parachain was the most complicated idea that i have ever seen just to fix or scaling DOT blockchain. People are buying parachain to only connecting into the relay chain and that's bad mechanism. I think that $500 may be possible kusama but to be honest the idea of parachain to connect it into the relay chain was a garbage idea.
This blockchain and polkadot was too complicated. It was making something easy to be solved through complicated way. that's why people are prefering solana over this blockchain.
The small amounts of total supply was only helping KSM to make its price sustain.

To be honest, I'm still learning about the potential of this token and not really sure about its long-term development. Kusama is a good token, but because there are polkadot, investors are more interested in the polkadot.
