I guess. But outside of the likes of gambling, having NFTs in "blockchain games" is pretty much the norm now. You're very unlikely to see a blockchain game that only operates using tokens and without the use of NFTs.

We already have a board for tokens. Having it filled with garbage is hardly a reason to create a new board that will be inevitably filled with garbage. If the altcoin section could clean itself up (and judging by all these suggestions popping up you'd think there should be enough people to care about it and report garbage to mods) then you wouldn't need a new board. Regular altcoin boards could easily accommodate fad du jour.

Exactly, NFT means Non-Fungible Tokens so it belongs in the Altcoin Discussion. I'm a bit curious though, what does fad du jour means?

Yes, it's a mix of token (altcoin) and NFTs (game's items/characters).

Moreover I believe the main difference between blockchain games' NFTs and other NFTs is the practical application the first have, against a worthless existence of the second (like most altcoins). And since there is practical application, this segment of the market doesn't rely purely on speculation (unlikely altcoins). Also, games' NFTs are similar to products/goods instead of currencies. These are some reasons to detach this category from altcoins, which includes worthless NFTs as well.

I don't think these tokens proven themselves to be useful in any way yet, so creating a sub forum for them kind of would legitimize them. Since we don't want to promote scams knowingly, I guess it is safer to wait a bit more because these tokens might just disappear in a year after the dumb money is all spent on them. If they are still around after a year, sure why not, let's have a subforum for them too. (under the altcoins)

I'm a bit curious though, what does fad du jour means?

It's like hype. Suchmoon is suggesting that the NFTs might be causing a craze right now, but their popularity will drop sooner or later. It makes no sense creating a board for something that will most probably have a similar fate to ICOs that were once popular, but were later abandoned for other types of money-grabbing/generating systems.

If you do a Google search on "fad du jour" it will also tell you that it is "something that has short-lived popularity or publicity".
