So I just found my old  BUTTERFLY LABS JALAPENO ASIC Miner 8-10 Gh/s Bitcoin miner and a dose of nostalgy came around. So, I am asking you guys: what was your first device used to mine Bitcoin?

My first GPU was hd7970s that I used to mine ETH in 2016 and later convert to BTC now all these GPUs are useless today, some few in time to some broke PC gamers but I still have some left in my basement doing nothing

HD7970 is still a beast in some old and new triple AAA games even in 2022 mate, why storing them? Go on eBay and Craigslist some gamers can't afford RTX cards for gaming, not even 6600XT for gaming they will gladly buy 7970 and use low resolution monitor to game on, a 1080p is still a sweet spot for hd7970 today

totally agree. You can still play at 1080p few games like Rainbow Six Siege, Red Dead Redeption 2,Far Cry New Dawn, Assasin's Creed Odyssey, etc.

I'd rather buy a Nvidia 1050 ti video card for the same price for games. hd7970 is a legendary mining graphics card, but it is very difficult to find them in good condition today.
There are also many Nvidia 1060 3GB video cards on the market, which are also great for games, if you do not use the maximum settings.

Yeah, a good alternative, for sure.
