Any one mining ravencoin lite here? How good is the original Vs this fork? I'm following a YouTuber who genuinely have interest in this project and already have 100k ravencoin lite in holding, I'm thinking of mining for a week straight and hold for possible alt season, any advice?

Who ever has the best x16r asic still wants to make money.........So they hired a team of devs on the cheep to fork rvn back to the secret asic algo so the secret asic holders can profit by selling you coins? It's a china coin.

new people do not send any mining power this way. Not saying there isnt a good PnD here but DO NOT MINE THIS WITH GPUS.

So X16R algorithm are always from China coins? And how did you know that the project is from China? Cos I don't see any such traces can you pin point some proves? Oh yes people tend to hate fork coins any way

I believe ravencoin is way more powerful than this fork, I'm not saying this fork is a total failure but not for longetivy I believe, if bear market strikes this coin will suffer

X16R was forked away from by RVN because of x16r asics.  RVN lite by using the same algo is enabling those Asics ro mine it.

Its not a matter of hate its a matter of knowing what/why.

In this case it could be the ASIC builders who want to keep a market to sell their product.

Releasing a "classic" or "lite" version of an existing coin is quite common, some even
fork the original coin's blockchain. Most fail quickly.

I don't buy the idea of this ravencoin lite, it's just a coin favouring the ASIC owners I guess that's why they fork from ravencoin itself, if you want something more reliable mine ravencoin and hold not this ravencoin lite or other fork coins, this coin hardly have any good trading volume right now

Not a big fan of the fork and the change just seems like a cash grab. That being said I spent the first few days mining it on few GPU rigs just to accumulate a big bag to hold onto for awhile just to track it and see what happens. No idea what will happen and which coins will pump or dump in value when ETH goes POS but figured might as well load up on a variety.

I have never liked the fork versions, copies of altcoins and then i think you earn more with the original version of raven,i like the rvn algorithm more

The original is always better than the fork this is very clear to see as there are many big coins in the market that has forks and till today no fork did better than the original, this days everything and the only fork I like is from Bitcoin that is BCH

The price of it is extremely low,it is not listed on Binance yet but it is listed in some other well known exchanges like Bittrex which has good volumes overall for most cryptos.

As it is already said here only ASIC owners are mining this coin and probably they are making a ton of them daily and it is a gamble for them, they can lose everything in case price stays like this or it goes lower but they can also win big if this coin increases in value. It is a coin for people who want to gamble with their ASICS,mostly GPU miners do not care about this even if this is a X16R algorithm.

This is true and you don't want to support the Chinese asic makers. However, they are usually well financed for a pump and dump. if you can get them cheep you will catch a pump when they try to suck in more noobs.

Hello there,

I apologize to already answer here as my first post as it should be a presentation post I suppose...

I'm mining RVL with my gpu from time to time and I do it especially because my gpu isn't able to mine anything else: gtx 970.
I was surprised at first that it wouldn't even mine rvn on kawpow (gets an unsupported algo error msg), and it is buggy when mining ubq.

So yeah a few rvl some now and then is good enough for me for this gpu.

As an experimentation I also throwed a 3060 LHR during a full week in solo mode... Well it discovered 2 blocks during this laps of time.
But it's a waste of hash power clearly still as an experimentation it remains interesting.

That's a bold risk you took there my friend, now that you've solved two blocks mining RVL in solo mode i suggest you start mining ETH with that 3060 of yours using Trex miner, right now ETH is so profitable then you can use the ETH to buy any coins of your choice

The problem is that the gpu is LHR so I prefer to use it to mine RVN kawpow at full MH speed
I'm barely reaching a stable 33 MH/s mark on ethash.
Still what's good with those 3060 LHR or not is that you don't care DAG file increase with those 12GB of memory.

At this point I think I would just continue to mine RVN and hope that in 8-12 months when ETH is no longer mineable that there may be a bump in price. I am only spending about 1 day a week on RVN and with my rigs but might as well build a little bag.

Go to F2Pool and mine sero coin (progpow) you will earn 5$ every 24hrs, I believe this is currently the most profitable coin to mine with that rtx3060 LHR version, below is link to calculator
