Lol, they are investing in Bitcoin, that's why Bitcoin gains survivability!!
They are investing in Bitcoin because they don't want to miss the opportunity of taking an instant profit. After 12 long years of Bitcoin, they are now realizing that they have no choice but to adopt this technology. Bitcoin reached 19k ATH in 2017 without any kind of such influence, and now that Bitcoin has successfully stabilized at $50k-$60K it is only natural that investors will rush to buy it.

His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. It's always great news for Bitcoin when we hear of these multi billionaires having enough faith in crypto to start diversifying into it. These people are also the ultimate level of collector - they have massive streams of income, far more than they spend, coming in every day. That means that they'll be constantly buying more and it doesn't even make a dent in their wealth. At this level it will also become a kind of measuring contest, where they can afford to buy thousands of Bitcoins if it means extra bragging rights within their circle of elite friends. Even better when they announce it to the world instead of just slowly accumulating it and keeping the secret behind closed doors.

That's right, small or big but this is an influential person, the news would entice people to invest since they'll think that if a CEO of Apple which is a big tech company invested in crypto, then most likely crypto is a real deal, and that would result to buying which what we need for adoption.

I think that's great news, meaning that more and more people in different countries are interested in cryptocurrencies, such as the CEO of Apple. With his personal point of view, he wants to create his own portfolio so that opportunities for success in the crypto business will open. I think this will be an example for people out there who want to grow their portfolio, I'm sure if there are many people who are interested in crypto world but they don't have a chance to do business here but sooner or later I think they will join.

Why is it big news that a man you didn't even know his name until today invested in cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin is not mentioned anywhere? A man may have invested a few hundred or a thousand $ in some altcoin, and some call it great news, completely ridiculous from my perspective.

I get your line of thought, but then Mr Cook isn't an unknown entity as such. We can conveniently say though that he isn't a force to reckon with in the crypto space. Of course, he isn't. But who knows, people and interest do change. Maybe he's at this point realizing the need for the switch. Quite understandably, the paradigm shift is a gradual process for a lot of these old folks. And like you jocularly talked about him bringing Warren Buffet over, there's a possibility to that; I should think 🤔. After all, birds of a feather flock together. If they continue to stay out and away from Bitcoin, it's their loss. Just the same way it's for China.

I think people of his calibre are mostly thoughtful about what they convey to the public. Not everyone is like Elon Musk tweeting all day long what they think about Bitcoin. I can very well imagine that Tim Cook has been holding cryptocurrencies for quite a while, but would he necessarily decide very early on to make it public? I would rather not I guess, if I were him. Maybe he is trading cryptos like crazy, but would he make that information public? I really doubt it. By now he knows for certain that cryptos are here to stay and before politicians might decide for some moves against the digital revolution that he (now) has a stake in, he rather decides to raise his voice and let everyone know he has skin in the game.

Really difficult to tell whether he just recently bought cryptos or whether he is in it since 2012.
