On the "main source" of that news, they labeled the name of the operation as "BITDROP" and after doing some digging, I believe it was "LetTheBitDrop.com ^{[archived version]}" and there was also some discussions about it on this forum: Bitcoin Island Party - "The Bit Drop"

I'm not sure if that's the one. That website has been "inactive" for years now, and I don't think the police would name their operation BitDrop when the website was letthebitdrop. That is way too similar.
