The World Without Bitcoin

Have you ever thought what would the world be without Bitcoin? Imagine if the cryptocurrency was never invented and we'd still be living with Fiat (paper money and credit/debit cards). People would be subject to banks' desires without a chance for freedom. A cashless society would be only a dream, without innovations in the FinTech space. Gold would still be an option, but not everyone will be able to access it. The unbanked people will be forced to deal with banks in order to participate in the mainstream economy. A lot of challenges and hurdles would arise without a decentralized form of currency for the enjoyment of all.

What do you think the world will be today without Bitcoin? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is actually something I think about often.  I found out about bitcoin sometime in 2013-14 and it's been such a huge part of my life in many different ways that I will sit and ponder how much has my and other's peoples lives changes since then.  It's done so much for me on a personal level, but what I really care about is what it's done for others who are unbanked, who can't trust neither their banks or governments, those who need to send money overseas to family to survive but need it to happen quickly and cheaply etc etc.

The thing to remember also is that bitcoin is only going to improve, and if it's as great as it is already and were are just get started, imagine where things will be in another 10..20 years.

If we do tend to look at on how far we do able to reach out then it couldnt really be denied that we do really had some big changes which is really evident in todays existence and the reputation that it has.
Cant really be denied that there are lots who had able to make big benefits in terms of investments but we should mind off on its actual usage or real reason of its existence.Earning money
is just second in line but it seems people are already aiming for this thing mainly.World without bitcoin? We are still been shackled with those banks and centralization aspects on what government had set out.

If today is a world without Bitcoin I think everyone is fixated on banks to manage their money. In addition there is also gold and shares of company shares or other bonds that will be their choice to invest. But all these things can still be controlled by the government and we don't have the freedom we usually get when using Bitcoin.

Indeed. Without Bitcoin, people can invest in Gold, lands, or many other things. But there is no freedom like we invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin provides a decentralized system and people can manage their money without government control. We must thank Satoshi that he really braves to create Bitcoin for a better financial system and easy investment for every people in the world. With Bitcoin, we can optimize the chance to improve our financial/economic level.

if in the world there is no bitcoin ,,, it used to happen that there was no bitcoin but now there is a big difference than before there are many who accept bitcoin, banks, gambling, paucet and others involved in bitcoin so if it happens it will disappear  to people who use bitcoin and a bitcoiner life of course it's boring and for me it won't happen..I can't accept it either.

The world will still run even without Bitcoin , though this only makes transactions easier and faster that is the advantage but not will stop the world if this was not invested .

if we talk about a world without bitcoin a decade ago it became normal, because technology is not as sophisticated as it is now, now technology is developing rapidly where bitcoin itself cannot be separated from the lives of young people today. bitcoin is a reference in crypto trading.

In my opinion, if bitcoin was not created by Satoshi Nakamoto, the world is still fine, although now we have to admit the world is getting more sophisticated but that doesn't mean the benchmark of sophistication because bitcoin I mean if today's sophisticated era without bitcoin remains sophisticated, before without us living without bitcoin it would still be as usual and now people who don't have bitcoins live a normal normal life.

This wouldn't have been a discussion because even back then without Bitcoin, you, me, and everyone here already existed but no one thought of all the issues you stated here as a major problem because we didn't know what other alternative like Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies would have brought but thanks to Satoshi, we can now see and understand a different financial free world. Without these new innovations, we wouldn't have known what life will be with them bcos we don't know them and there are many more to come in the future and this same question will be asked again.

It seems that if Bitcoin did not exist in this world there would be no freedom in the monetary system for anyone. All investments are only in big companies and gold. Inflation must be faced and is a big challenge for investors. In addition, investment may only be made for those with large capital, not for those who only have little capital. In fact, with Bitcoin, those with small and large capital can access it. I am grateful that Bitcoin was able to exist and still survive until now.

Bitcoin is indeed a life-changer. Those who discover it, never look back. The pioneer cryptocurrency not only encourages us to be more financially-responsible, but also self-sufficient/independent. For the first time ever, people get to own their money without fear of censorship from the government. No one thought money would become completely independent from the state, yet here we are today. A world without Bitcoin would simply be meaningless, as people will be subject to the likes of central banks and governments alike. Now that Bitcoin is a reality, people are free from such rule. I'm impressed by how big Bitcoin has grown ever since it came into inception nearly 13 years ago. If it went this far, imagine what will happen within one or two decades from now. My guess is that Bitcoin would finally reach mainstream adoption as most people worldwide use it as a substitute of Fiat. With El Salvador adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, anything's possible. The future is exciting for early Bitcoin adopters like us. Just my opinion

If the world were without bitcoin, maybe now more people are investing in company stocks, buying gold including myself, and maybe this forum wouldn't even exist. And if we assume like that, try to look back, before bitcoin was discovered. Maybe the picture will be more or less like that.

I got your point mate, people are still going to be sophisticated not because of btc but because of the technology that continue's to evolve. On the other hand, I cannot say the world is fine because there are lots of problems that we faced lately, there is that covid 19. Even if btc is created long time ago? (before covid) it still one of the popular payment methods today that people use to avoid face to face contact . also solves other financial and economical problems .

In fact, Bitcoin, cryptocurrency & blockchain technology is great achievement of Satoshi Nakamoto that has changed and influenced the economic system of the world.
 It is a unique business that affected the traditional Gold business. This is the only finance system that freed the economy from the limits of borders and country. It forced the banks to accept and accommodate this system. So it should be said that Bitcoin benefited humanity.
