Risky, this coin ATH was 450$ in 2017 and now it's 31$ this shows that it's not been doing so well for the past few years, if you want to mine it wait till market is in bad shape, in 2020 Nov 23 this coin goes below 3$ which was a good opportunity to mine or buy then.

Why do you like the project of BTG?
Can you point some reasons to believe in this coin?

For me it's just a fork of BTC but there's nothing special or relevant
Yes, I know they made the fork to make GPUs mining instead of Asics, but unfortunately it's not enough

If you really believe in this project you can buy and hold, or you can mine a more proftable coin like ETH and change to BTG
I only see a reason to mine if you want to support the project and want to be involved with the coin and help the security of network

Forks aren't performing so well since last bull market of 2017, BTG team needs to do something instead of sitting back and watching every opportunities pass them by, I was sceptical about Monero as well but since past 48hrs privacy coins are bouncing up, maybe someday the forks will have a good return but not guaranteed.

Maybe if ETH mining is no more then coins like BTG ETC and other can become profitable but it makes no sense to mine this coin while others like ALPH, ETH, Ravencoin are more profitable to mine, if BTG means a lot to you then exchange your ETH to BTG every day.

I just want to remind you guys that this year, ETH will be no more Minable, this year or maybe the next. If BTG do a x3 or x3.5 in price, mining income will be more and more UP instead of mining ethereum and will be the first crypto to give the best revenue in mining, and this can happen without any problems, though not guaranteed but this coin is damn good.

Personally i believe that it is not the best altcoin to mine currently now it is at about 30 $ sure it could do in the future even x3 or x5 but at the moment there are other more profitable coins as long as it can be still mine i will bet everything on eth

This is a bad time to mine any other coins except from ETH because it's the most profitable, also we are slowly going into bear market which is inevitable so you can buy bitcoin gold for a more cheaper rate later, keep mining ETH and change for usdt then when bear market hits you start using your usdt to buy coins and hold.

You can make good profit from such coin but you need to buy at a very low price, bitcoin gold has highest volume over other BTC forks out there except bitcoin cash so I'd say these two coins are the leading BTC fork project in terms of volume and liquidity, find a good entry point maybe some day when it sink to 2$ ?.
