What network USDT does Nano Ledger Support?

I know it would work on the ETH network.  But if you want to store USDT on say BSC BEP20 or Tron network... can you do that?


If not, what s good wallet to store usdt on the BSC BEP20 or Tron network?  The other issue would be besides having usdt on that network, you also need the other coin to pay for sendng fees right?  What would be the coin for BSC BEP20?  I know t would be tron for tron.

You can use tron usdt on ledger and manage it similarly to how you manage tron (detailed here: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013062159-Manage-TRC10-and-TRC20-tokens?docs=true).

I haven't read through it but I think you can also use ethereum wallets like metamask for bsc if you were more familiar with those.

That's correct. It should be possible to use MetaMask for all these networks: Fantom[1], Polygon[2], BSC[3], and Avalanche[4].

For BSC network you need to use BNB native token to pay for transaction fees (just like ETH on Ethereum blockchain).

So you can receive USDT in your BSC address without any BNB, but you need BNB to send those USDT.

Okay so let say i want to buy just 10 dollars worth of usdt on the BSC network.  But how much BNB would i need to buy in order to send the entire 10 dollars worth of usdt on the BSC network to someone else?


What about buying 10 dollars worth of usdt on the Tron network and want to send that to someone else.  How much Tron would i need in order to send that entire amount usdt to someone else?

It shouldn't cost you more than 1$ per transaction regardless of the amount being transferred. An exchange might charge you a bit more compared to non-custodial wallets though.

This question of yours seemed familiar, so I checked my post history. We talked about this back in September 2021 when you made a similar thread asking about what networks Ledger supports for USDT. You don't remember that?

No, you can store USDT as a TRC20 token on the Tron blockchain as well. I have kept that asset together with Tron on my Nano S, it works just fine. You just have to install the Tron app and have some TRX in that same account as well. If you don't have any Tron, I think Ledger Live won't display any of the TRC20 tokens in its portfolio until you do.
