But sometimes people just can't resist bragging about how smart they were and investing in something that brought them a good profit - especially nowadays when it's almost unattainable for many to have 1 BTC. Celebrities have bodyguards, armored vehicles and state-of-the-art security systems, so they can talk publicly about what they have, and the average person can hardly afford it.
This was not the case at a time when the price of BTC was only a few tens or hundreds of $, because who would go on a robbery for a few hundred $, but today it is a much larger amount that attracts professional criminals. The goods they want to steal can be some USB stick or a piece of paper with a backup, and while the owner notices that it is not there, thieves can be on the other side of the world and enjoy his money.
