My top weirdest NFT project Will Always be „farts in jar

If you’ve been online the first two weeks of 2022, you’ve likely seen the story of 90 Day Fiancé star Stephanie Matto. Last week, Input itself covered Matto’s pivot to selling non-fungible works of (f)art. The story is emblematic of the weirdness of the new world of NFTs.

“The project has really captured the mainstream media a lot,” Darren Lamb of Full House NFT Studio tells Input exclusively. The 27-year-old says he approached Matto in fall 2021 about the prospect of producing an NFT collection.

What’s yours?

I too did heard about that on news and it's fascinating and sad all at the same moment.
Talking about the weirdest one, I found how high priced are cryptopunks NFTs while all they are pixelated avatar looking pictures. https://cryptopunks.app/
Also weird are my NFTs collection which would cost me more to place it on marketplace than the money they'd earn me selling them.
Some of the high paid NFT's do look great but still they are lesser than a real art on paper while costing larger than some rare collection.

if the NFT project has not found anything strange, but ghozali can be said to be a strange work but produces photos every day, he can make NFT,  his personal photos into his work which is a byword everywhere

Could be the Lana Rhoades story. She created her own NFT collection, collected some money and then just left. Her explanation "could be" true, I am not going to say if she is telling the truth or not because I can't know that. But she said the money collected was spent on development and the project basically failed to get traction which made it economically not feasible and that is why it is a failed project and not a scam project.

Obviously, nobody bought that because these are NFT's and you could get them made for like under 15k total. The rest utility things could have been failed attempts, but even the NFT's? That was a little weird and looks more like a scam.

Whenever this weird NFT pops out of the blues and is sold for a high price, you will gonna see some of the artists or other people that are not pros, creating their own version of it or they will make weirder arts that might become famous as well. But in most cases, the uniqueness of the original is what makes it expensive and the other copycats have less or no value at all. I still can't believe right now how a cartoonized image of monkeys and cats is worth thousands of dollars. I guess it's just the start of the era of weirdness because of this metaverse and we cannot stop its popularity, especially today when big-time companies are getting their hands on it as well.

I heard that she quit the project because of people harassments.. The truth is somewhere, but i guess we don't know it  Grin
I have seen a guy taking selfies and making it to a collection of NFTs - seems quite weird to me to be honest, if the photos had any content or meaning i would have understand it. Ended up quite popular, you might have heard it.
One of the best/weird nfts i have seen is from the arrest of a politician  Grin

there are indeed many of these NFTS are weird and also strange, maybe they are designed that way in order for seeking attention of the masses and make branding in the market regardless the most strange NFT are those that are valued for millions I couldn’t grasp the real reasoning they could be valued that high honestly. some of us also thinking that these kind of NFT arts that are being valued by millions are nonsensical and I must also agree, despite the fact that they are kinda rare, most of them doesn’t really have that vibe of rare arts that could make them get valued for millions. The APE NFT is kinda weird for me personally. So many NFT art in the opensea were so weird me.

You made me remember those what I've watched about onlyfans that they're selling bathe water and farts in the jar of those models.

Yeah, that truly is a weird type of NFT. There is also this NFT that I've seen from a pornstar and I can't remember her name but she eventually rug pulled from that NFT project that she has started.

So that's double the weirdness of that NFT and developer.

I say it's weird, not because just a photo can sell for over $10k.
They call it gozali everyday, the photos that he collected for more than 3 years from 2017 were used as NFT
by gozali and then he promoted them to various social media, strangely enough, they sold expensively and traded quickly in my country.
An inimitable oddity, because he initially only made it up as a joke but some people actually bought it cheap and sold it again. This is very strange but true.

The weirdest will get all the attention and would be more valuable.  Cheesy I haven't seen one that is super weird yet. But as I read thru the answers of other forum members I saw the name Lana Rhoades.

I tried to research and found what was said to be $1.8m raised money and then she deleted her twitter account. Because of that he was accused of rugpull. Interesting story and this might be the weirdest for me now.
I heard that she quit the project because of people harassments.. The truth is somewhere, but i guess we don't know it  Grin
Different stories different links. We cannot find the real story in a legitimate source or perhaps that's both sides of it. Investors blaming her, and her blaming the harassment.

I think all NFTs in the market make sense, they just follow the trend that exists like Meme,
it might look weird to people who don't understand memes, but it will be fun for their community.
other than that, it sounds weird to buy pictures that should be free to take on google or other services
like pinterst but they would love to have them in the cryptocurrency community.
Those who find it strange are people who don't understand the concepts in NFT.

I tell you what is weirdest NFT I've seen - a guy who has been taking photos of himself during years, turning every photo into NFT and uploading them to marketplace. I must add, that the guy is not a celebrity, just a regular person, not really even a handsome (I am rotten inside, sorry Cheesy). Who would even buy these NFTs? Or even a collection of them? Why would the value of these NFT increase (that is the purpose of buying them, right?) ?

-snip-

Her NFT was not that weird but her project turns into a scam after she rug pulled it and leave the investors behind and after that she deactivated her Twitter account and probably enjoys her money on a vacation. But the weirdest NFT I've ever seen is an NFT selfie of a man he takes a selfie and mint it as an NFT and surprisingly he earned millions from it.

My top weirdest NFT project Will Always be „farts in jar
...
What’s yours?

I saw the title and clicked to write this. :) It's really irrational. :) We can't call this bullshit art. We had one of the absurd events of popular culture. This event is a cause of severe trauma for a healthy person. But we have encountered such absurd events so often that they have become ordinary events for us. So we are no longer surprised. One of the junk artists in my country had turned her own laughter into NFT on Twitter and sold it (https://www.webtekno.com/saba-tumer-90-bin-tl-nft-dumduz-tweet-h108340.html). I don't think we should take these things seriously. It's really bullshit. :)
