I know these people (including me) will understand the situation as this is not the first time it happens in signature campaigns. But you have made a decision already and I just hope the team will communicate with you back and settle everything.

In my opinion you should have waited a little bit more for the teams response. In the meantime you could have informed all the participants about the situation and asked them to wait. You could also have paid us half of the amount by the end of the week as most of us know that it is not your fault.
