Americans Elect (third party)

I don't frequent this section much, let alone start a thread here, but I heard a segment on NPR yesterday while taking care of  business in Indiana. I've search this forum and found no prior mentions of this third party--Americans Elect. My hope is to learn more about this organization via discussions and, moreover, see if/how Bitcoin could fit within their agenda.

A political group outside the two major parties has been flying below the radar this election season: Americans Elect. The group, which is trying to run the first online primary, says its goal is to choose a presidential ticket and get it on the ballot in all 50 states.

So far, the group has gotten on the ballot in more than half the states. But picking a candidate is proving more of a challenge.

Although it sure had me fooled and I've signed up and supported candidates, it is just another corrupt organization.

There are plenty of links out there detailing what they did to essentially give their self-elected board complete veto power over who gets on the ballot regardless of how the members ("delegates") voted. I do hope they actually get a 3rd person on the ballot just to shake things up, but I am not putting any faith in their organization nor will I give them a dime.

Apart from Tom Freidman of the NYT, who else is in that party?  It seems like an empty shell with no serious politicians in it.
