Why are people get scammed? Because scam looks real and used to victimize the ignorant and the foolish. But the best way to avoid scam, phishing and online attack is to know about it, how it works and not to be greedy. People should always know this, that no money is just coming from nowhere freely, no free money. Scammers use high yield return and free money to scam people.

I received an email from Google Form that directed me to a site Crypto Donate, I screenshot part of the email below, I did not do anything or fill out anything, but this is just the email.

Below, which I did not screenshot (but I can do that if there is any need to) is a link, I removed my email from the link and I got this:

https://donate.starcryptocoin[dot]tk/

According to the fake site:
Quote
Get Bitcoin help from all over the world!
Instant payments to your Bitcoin wallet.
More than 1,000,000 people who have applied to the project have already received Bitcoin assistance.
All transactions for the provision of Bitcoin assistance are made by the participants voluntarily, directly between each other.

The first three scammers review:
Quote
b]Teresa[/b]
It was hard to believe. And why? There are a lot of scams on the Internet, here and there everywhere they promise "mountains of gold" and in the end nothing. I sat here and read the comments and thought to myself, well, people write that they get money, why am I sitting there thinking ?! registered and made the right decision !!! today I have already received my first payment of 0.058 BTC, many thanks, I will continue to participate in this project, because this is a good deed for everyone.

Caleb
Painfully tired of cheating on the Internet. I feed the scammers every day. More precisely, fed! Yes, this project Donated me. I have already written a thank you to the support service. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart in the comments.

Ester
My pension does not allow me to be posh and live very well! But thanks to this project and kind people, I went on a cruise with my daughter and grandson. Thank you all very much!
There are still thousands of reviews on that site, be careful. Do not send bitcoin, else, you are scammed.

I am concious to avoid any scam, I did not wanted to do it actually because I know nothing will come out of it than scam, but I need more evidence to know if this scam site only wants people's name, picture amd email address. I used fake name, fake email on the site. I provided a bitcoin address but newly generated from a wallet, I submitted it on the site, the site linked the address to some fake donators, I clicked on accept payment as it was bringing up the fake donators until I complete it. Then it brought up the picture below.

https://donate.starcryptocoin.tk/cab56kapl.php

This is just a scam site, donate and be scammed because of greediness. I know I am not only the one that has been sent this scam email, please, tell all your family and friends and let this go beyond Bitcointalk.

These scammers know that there are many greedy people out there that they can easily victimize with their schemes. If you're someone that knows the specific thing on the web and you didn't do anything, this is just the same as those old scam schemes that someone from any state in the US/EU/UK that has passed away and wants you to inherent millions of bucks from thin air. That trick never gets old and I'm still receiving them with my old email almost every day. That's why if an unknown email comes and after clicking it says gullible promos, wins, money, etc. I don't waste my time checking in all that it says and avoiding any link that it attaches.

Yes, to an extent i understand the desire and taste of many people craving for free means of acquiring bitcoin all by just an ordinary google form request to be filled and submitted, unknowingly that they have device a means to take away that little coins you've got through your wallet address can be tracked and hacked using their chronic malware techniques, one is now loosing instead of gaining just because of greediness and hunger for free bitcoin, i ask myself, is the google form task equivalent to the reward of btc promised? Obviously no because you do less and will be promised high return, these guys out there are getting smarter each day and we need to as well get wiser to secure ourselves against any vulnerable point for an entry.

I bet that the email you are using who receive a scam donation google form is a throwaway account? Because if not, it is highly unlikely that you have signed up on a website that has been sold or hacked which might be somewhat alarming, to be honest..

Nevertheless, looking at the screenshot, its funny seeing such huge amount of btc balance is for free given how hard it is for an average joe to earn it. If it seems too good to be true, it probably isn’t true.

People should always know this, that no money is just coming from nowhere freely, no free money. Scammers use high yield return and free money to scam people.

Only God knows how many people have already fallen victim to this particular scam. Nobody has free money to share, and even the scammers see scamming as a job and a means of survival, which is why they are constantly coming up with new ways to convince greedy people.

Unfortunately, the marketing model that these sites rely on is that everyone has the perception that earning in bitcoin is fast and free, and that some sites give you $40 for free if you log in.
Thus, a non-crypto user will not differ much between $40 and 0.4 BTC (despite the difference in value).

Google does not want to fight such scam, so scammers may even use Google ads to promote scam.

Do not publish the email publicly, and random clicking on links.

This is an archived image of the same site’s content, but using a different domain back in September 2021. Then, the claim used to get to the site was a fake Elon Musk giveaway also spread through an email:

https://web.archive.org/web/20210911060850/https://bitcoindonateur[dot]site/
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/new-elon-musk-club-crypto-giveaway-scam-promoted-via-email/

It seems that they keep the same scam running, changing the domain and the pretext to land on the scam site overtime.

Only 0.45 BTC? So who will be fooled into becoming greedy and believing that such things happen in real life? Some of us got as many as 20 BTC some time ago, we just had to believe that Santa Claus was a little late this year due to the pandemic Wink

This is just a scam site, donate and be scammed because of greediness. I know I am not only the one that has been sent this scam email, please, tell all your family and friends and let this go beyond Bitcointalk.

I would not pay too much attention to emails like this which are quite common given the millions of email addresses that have leaked in various hacks over the years. In my case, 99% of such messages end up in the spam folder anyway, and if one does appear in the inbox, the best we can do is mark it as spam and prevent others from seeing it at all.

Fake vouches can be bought nor the owner itself doing it just to fool newbies who's seeking money for what they are trying to offer. And telegram is dangerous place for newbie because there are so many impersonators scammers and frauds so they should not go seek for opportunity that can give them profits for good use.

Im sure its fake they wanted to show that there are people who actually received from those donations but for sure there are who can noticed it and assume it a scam.

I wonder how these scammers lives peacefully onowing the money they get are from this kind and they will feed their family using that money. Karma will come bad at them very hard.

i also recieved this email
To me its putted the same person

of course its a scam

but

because this sentence : "After you make a transaction in the amount of 0.0025 BTC, click the button below to CHECK the TRANSACTION STATUS, as soon as our system registers the sending of BTC from your address, you will receive the amount donated to you in full."

i think the sentence means its 0-conf

so when mempool will be more full i will check it with double spend

because of course they are scammers,  but many scam in the start pay to make more people come and then not pay anybody, so maybe they in the start and in the start maybe they pay,  but in the future 100% they will not pay anybody

If you're greedy and can easily be swayed by testimonials you'll likely fall into this scam scheme I remember something similar to this scam that came out in Rusia I just forgot the name where you will send donations and in turn, you will also receive a donation, these scammers makes it appear they are doing good for the people.

I just received an email last night, I got a bigger one. lol

How do scammers know my email, when me never published it?
It's not only this that goes in my email, so many other scams in the name of big gifts from certain companies.
Fortunately, the link is dead, I can't access it.

I received an email from Google Form that directed me to a site Crypto Donate, I screenshot part of the email below, I did not do anything or fill out anything, but this is just the email.

I would recommend you to get new email address, if you haven't do that already.

Nevertheless, looking at the screenshot, its funny seeing such huge amount of btc balance is for free given how hard it is for an average joe to earn it. If it seems too good to be true, it probably isn’t true.

Additionally, why don't they just deduct 0.0025BTC from our "financial assistance" and send the rest to us automatically Tongue.

They will not why would they they are not a charity site they are scammers trying to test how greedy you are,  it's a send me this amount and I will double it a scheme that's a very popular couple of years ago, and they have the same concept of you need to send me this amount to unlock this amount, of course, they will not send you and will just laugh at you for falling to this trick.

2 similar sites:
https://donate.coindopcup.tk/
https://donate.lk-coinmarketcup.tk/

-snip-
because of course they are scammers,  but many scam in the start pay to make more people come and then not pay anybody, so maybe they in the start and in the start maybe they pay,  but in the future 100% they will not pay anybody
If you have indicated this is a form of scam, then don't let even your little finger dip in the puddle. Ignore the belief that they will pay off at first. They will never pay.

This space for rent.

Do you think that you need to publish your e-mail address somewhere in order to receive spam messages? Your address has obviously leaked somewhere, whether you registered on a site and that company was hacked, or they simply sold your data. It is also possible that one of your contacts has been hacked or forwarded your e-mail address to someone.
