Just for some background for people here on the forum. I sold my Public Key #183 in February for .15 BTC, or 15 Million Sats.

It was a private sale so I am excited to see what the public sale will go for.

Best,
BTCOVERFIATS

With all due respect I ask, what makes it special that it has that value?  I see nothing but a figure of a key made of glass.  maybe I don't know what it really is and that's why I ask..  Huh

Oh man, FractalEncrypt's artwork is epic!  You can see one of his Bitcoin Full Node sculptures here behind Michael Saylor in his profile pic:

    https://twitter.com/saylor/status/1536378374725472257

It's also featured on the cover of Knut Svanholm's seminal book:

Most of his stuff goes for six figures or more, except (perhaps!) for the Public Keys, which he made for "the plebs."  Somewhat by chance, only 210 were made:

I'll be watching this auction with bated breath.  Grin

It's a long read, but you will get an idea of the amount of thought/work put into creating those...

Because I'm fuckin' idiot, I never noticed / got what it means - yep, "reserve was not met"...
But in the end we managed to agree on 0.1615. So I guess I won.

Did you win it? or was reserve not met?

This was a totally good pick up, and at a reasonable price that will prove to be a bargain down the line.  Definitely HODL this and check demand again when bull season is back in session.

When Bitcoin is $500,000 no one is going to pay .15+ BTC for these public keys in my opinion.

That will be $75,000 in fiat value per public key. The Bitcoin premiums will continue to diminish while the fiat values rise.

Most likely true but a few things we don't know:  1)  Will tldr-hodl HODL that long as they may exit sooner with a nice gain?  2)  As some collectors tend to use fiat to buy Bitcoin at current market to purchase collectibles instead of using Bitcoin that have been HODL'ing to do the same, it's possible this is what tldr-hodl did.

I paid 1.8 Million sats for mine and sold it for 15 Million sats. An 8.3x BTC denominated return.

At the end of the day Bitcoin is my true love, not Bitcoin art. I had to part ways with it as .15 BTC will be a down payment on a house one day.

Excellent return, probably better than you expected.  This aligns with what you sought out to do and your future plans.  Everyone has different goals and objectives, ex, for some it's about the art, others about stacking sats, and for another subset making fiat to achieve whatever the desired outcome is.

Well said. I believe that the art may be the best way to multiply those sats, and the most fun. Rarity cant be diplicated
