Native segwit and pay-to-taproot addresses are not case sensitive. It is very important to check and recheck bitcoin address after you have copied and pasted it, before broadcasting the transaction or sending the address to someone that want to send you bitcoin, even there should be need to be careful of clipboard malware.

Bitcoin addresses include a checksum[1][2] to prevent exactly this situation from occurring.

You should always check addresses carefully, but well-written software will let you know (with very high probability) if you've mistyped something.

Even if you check them there is malware that after you check and click the send button it changes automatically without notice be careful of that always keep your device clean or find an alternative way to avoid clipboard malware.

Most of the wallets right now have QR so if you are going to send to someone instead of asking him for his address and manually typing them ask him for a QR code it would be easier and you are far from Clipboard malware.

Other than the possibility of committing an error, manually inputting a Bitcoin address every time you make a transaction is too much of a hassle. Who actually does that?

To me, and probably to a lot of Bitcoin users as well, we don't manually type the characters of the address one by one not actually because we're afraid we might miss a number or a letter but because it requires too much effort when there's actually a much easier option available.

First, I honestly recommend you to improve your writing
  • Most importantly, please use punctuation properly. With this post, I am breathless when I read it.
  • The side effect of no or incorrect use of punctuation is: you are challenging readers to understand what you write.

During cryptocurrency transaction and when receiving cryptocurrency coins we do make use of the wallet address which known as a special identifier that provide location to receive coins and the issue new traders or not expert
They have to learn about wallet and addresses. In one wallet, there are lot of receiving addresses. Wallet is like a building, with many apartments inside. If you own a wallet, you own all receiving addresses inside.

Quote
In cryptocurrency faces or might face is mistaking another alphabet or number for another or capital alphabet use in the place of a small alphabet in which each letter carries his own identification and using capital letter where to use Small letter might cause your transaction fail or you will not receive your fund.
And also the alphanumeric must be complete and no one should missed ,so it might not cause failure in your transaction.
Make sure you make a trial (should be very small like a dust transaction) to test that the address you sent your Bitcoin to is valid.

Quote
So that is why is advised to copy and paste the wallet address and send to the sender of the coin and not typed.
Be careful with malwares. As a crypto user, you must keep your device clean. Prevention is better than cure.

I doubt that anybody has ever manually typed the address since they are all long and most of them have about 30 characters and entering that many characters without any mistakes is extremely hard regardless of case sensitivity.
As it was mentioned copy pasting the address or scanning the QR followed by a quick verification is the method everyone should use.

Even though you copy and paste of address too one has to be careful because you might mistakenly copy an address and left a letter behind mostly at the end of the address. So when copying a wallet address one has to be careful. If it is me, and I copied Wallet address, I would check it twice before leaving it because if you do not checked and you keep it like that and one digit is missing, you do not have to blame the sender. Really I have not seen or heard anyone type wallet address but that not withstanding people might type it if the device the person is using can not copy the address. Devices like small Nokia and Itel. If you are to type the address you better be careful and cross check the numbers, figures, signs, and letters both big letters and small letters. The worst of them all. When you are manually typing the characters and you mistakenly type another character and you send it then the person send the coin and coin entered another person address then your fund is gone.

Most addresses I've used are not case sensitive, so I believe one doesn't really have a problem with replacing a capital letter with a small one, though its not advisable to edit an address after copy pasting, if you notice any error after pasting an address you copied, it is best to recopy and paste the address than try to edit it, and like a user here said, Bitcoin addresses has a checksum feature which ensures that address pasted is correct and complete, Legacy addresses is the one most users have made mistake with since its the same with Litecoin address, but good thing is that this days, users no longer make the mistake of sending Litecoin to Bitcoin address and vice versa.
Where most newbies make the mistake of transferring or sending funds to the wrong address is when it comes to 0x addresses which is used across Ethereum, Binance smart chain, Polygon, Fusion, Avalanche, Heco, Okexchain, Cronos, Aurora, Cube Network, Arbitrum Etc.

When you are manually typing the characters and you mistakenly type another character and you send it then the person send the coin and coin entered another person address then your fund is gone.
This is unlikely to happen thanks to the built-in checksum. If you mistype one or few characters then you will high likely end up with an invalid address. Any decent wallet software will notify the user if the checksum fails and will not let him create the transaction.
Even if you use a faulty wallet which will let you broadcast a transaction that sends coins to an invalid address, the network will reject it. So, the chances of losing coins because of this are really tiny.
Double-checking addresses before hitting the send button is a must, though.

Entering the wallet manually is not a good idea, as it can easily lead to confusion or misspelling characters, so I don't believe anyone would do it. But we should also be very careful when copying and pasting because if your computer is infected with a virus, it will change your destination wallet address, resulting in loss of money.

After copy and paste, I will check more than 2 times, to be more careful I will check the first 4 characters of the wallet and the last 4 characters of the wallet. If the characters match then I press the button.

I've never seen anyone type manually the recipient's address. It just presents bigger risk than just copy and pasting it. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible so a single mistake will be a huge regret to the sender.

For copy-paste malware issues, your device won't easily be affected by that as long as you are careful when downloading files or opening some links.

So that is why is advised to copy and paste the wallet address and send to the sender of the coin and not typed.
But of course, how do you even begin to type the address out in the first place? Isn't that like unnecessary? Anyway, I think anyone attempting that has ample time on their hand and wants to waste it needlessly. Besides, mistakes are even likely to happen while typing. Again, even copying it without scrutiny can lead to errors too. So, in copying an address I've make a point of checking the first few letters, the middle letters and the last four letters. Taking one's time in doing that isn't a waste of time. It's good to crosscheck details and not be in a haste while on financial transactions. I tend to treat my financial dealings with the precision of a defence lawyer in a murder case. Errors of omission shouldn't be allowed.
