Hey everyone! 👋 I'm brand new to the Web3 world, but I'm already hooked! 🎮 I've been a gamer for ages, but Web3 games have totally blown my mind. The idea of owning your own digital stuff and being part of a community that's not controlled by big companies is awesome!

I just joined a web3 game and it's been a total game-changer for me. I'm really excited to learn everything I can about Web3.

Any advice for a newbie like me? What are some good resources to learn from? What Web3 games should I check out? Any tips for staying safe and navigating this new world?

(Also I'm new to bitcointalk as well)

Not speaking as a web 3 gamer but as a web 3 part-time user in general. All I can say is that it's a volatile place. Lots of fun at times and sad times occasionally. Given that it's web 3, there are scammers and hackers out there. You have got to keep your valuable assets in cold wallets to avoid getting exploited by wallet drainer smart contracts and websites

Research, read and learn more about different projects before investing a lot of your time and resources into them.

Sorry i don't really check this forum often and for some reason had no notification so saw this late. So basically I will have to check basically everything before connecting my wallet hmm ok yeah that sounds ok. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it. Though how would I check for a projects Legitimacy? Is there some kind of site that has a list or like some certification these games have? Or do I just hope its Safe?

You just don't hope they are safe. You need to work around the clock by checking their social media pages if they have. Look into their communities and dig there to check if they've got real people and conversations there. Do a background check by looking at the team and who are those part of it. Start to search their names out of websites like linkedin if they're genuine people or just some guy used the name of a random guy and some random pictures of a gal.
