Question is wich blockchain Will be used ?
Wich blockchain Has the most best capability to carry that heavy Weight.
In online app wise people in uk definately will be happy if its easy user friendly interface and they can decide to keep this new coin in their app or withdraw to their private wallets.
The most easy If the new system can be used fast like it was liberty reserve payment system or now the perfect money.

Combanined this with crypto....then UK Will be the king everybody will want to buy the UK pound and use it for transactions If they make some real cool and easy to use coin for people.

But what blockchains they use ? Could it be ETH ? Maybe tron ?

There is a big difference between digital currencies "CBDCs" and cryptocurrencies, and not all CBDCs should be using blockchain, and even if the UK thinks so, the solutions will be centralized one.
The closest blockchain protocol to centralized solutions is Ripple, but this does not mean that UK will rely on any of the existing models in the form of cryptocurrencies to be the basis for building their digital currency.

It is impossible for this to happen.

Examples of some digital currency projects that are not based on the blockchain
