The government of El Salvador had been pushing for the social and economic adoption of Bitcoin without minding what the world would say about it. He had been a poineer in making sure that the whole world see good reasons why they have to invest in Bitcoin and use it on a regular day. Many countries still keep banning the use of Bitcoin by there citizens and what he is doing is to tell the world that there is more value in adopting the use of Bitcoin not minding what happens to fiat.

This is what the community had been fighting for, for the government to establish a platform where the use of Bitcoin would be acceptable for people to have different opinions when they want to make transactions .

The embassies are not independent they follow the rules of the host country and the country of their origin but they can get paid in the currency of the country that the embassy is from regardless of the rules of the host country. But I think a country that has banned btc probably will not have a embassy of El Salvador because of btc and that would go against their own laws of their country.

Embassies represent their home country in the host country and generally follow the laws and regulations of both. However, they may still receive funding from their home country in their home currency. A country that has banned Bitcoin may still have an embassy from El Salvador, but it would depend on the specific laws and regulations of both countries and the circumstances surrounding the relationship. It's also worth noting that the legalization or ban of Bitcoin can vary between countries, so there could be complex diplomatic and legal considerations involved in establishing an embassy.

El Salvador spreading its adoption of bitcoin through all the levels. Embassies were the connecting bridge between two countries. El Salvador tries to have the connection through bitcoin which is a good move. Every country won't be interested, but the interested countries participation will make some positive things happening with the cryptomarket. In all means combined growth is a must and it looks like El Salvador is making it happen in real-time.

El Salvador will be the model for other countries about accepting Bitcoin as legal tender.
I believe other neighboring countries of El Salvador will follow. It just a matter of time, I believe that neighboring countries of El Salvador are the countries will notice how El Salvador is doing when they start to accept Bitcoin as legal tender.

I hope that you are right but atm no other country has made the move and I think it is because btc is unstable. We need btc to become more stable so that it encourages other countries to adopt it. If it got adopted by another 5 moderately sized countries I think we could be seeing a big bull run that would surpass most peoples expectations about btc. I just do not think it will happen in the next 10 years so a lot of people will have moved on by then.

... I recently went to Budapest, Hungary and there was an amazing Bitcoin cafe!! They were just accepting Bitcoins and ETH, even though I had to transfer and had to pay like 10$ instantly for p2p fee , I decided to support their small business and it was amazing.

What? I have searched the internet and the price of a coffee in Budapest comes to the equivalent of $1. Even if your coffee was worth $3 it is not sustainable.

I don't quite understand what kind of payment is that because no matter how high you want to put the fee is not going to be $7 over $3, plus it depends on the miners finding the block to be confirmed.

It is not very common in Europe for people to pay with Bitcoin. There are few sites that accept it and even fewer people who pay because they consider it a savings or investment, not something to spend.

It is no longer a news that El Salvador president adopted bitcoin in the month of September 2021. And for them to progress in economics they have to extend bitcoin adoption to their embassies in other countries. Which means bitcoin will be officially used in the embassies across the world. The first country that the bitcoin embassy is built is Switzerland. A legislature of El Salvador made the pronouncement.
Quote
“My fellow Salvadorans and I are very excited by the promise of Bitcoin, and I look forward to seeing how this initiative will help increase access to economic security and economic freedom for all,” said Mayorga.

El Salvador Opens a Bitcoin Embassy in Switzerland

El Salvador will be a Great Nation
This is actually an important thing for El Salvador to do because considering they need to expand into business and adopt Bitcoin in mainland Europe so that it can cover a wider scope of society by targeting rich countries like Switzerland. In my opinion, this is a very appropriate step and it is hoped that it will have a better effect for El Salvador and for Bitcoin, of course.

After all, several countries in Europe are also familiar with Bitcoin, although they have not yet adopted it, as was done by the country of El Salvador. So it might not be so complicated for El Salvador to carry out the work although I'm not saying it will be easy for El Salvador either, it's just that El Salvador is no longer held back by time in terms of introducing Bitcoin to other countries with examples of adoption already El Salvador did to himself.

<snip>
One of the duties of a country's embassy abroad is to promote the country where the embassy is located including the promotion of international relations.
The existence of an embassy in the country where the embassy is located is a representative of the country. What I know is that every embassy also needs to maintain every rule that applies in the country where the embassy is located. For example, the embassy of El Salvador in Switzerland, they must maintain and comply with every rule that applies in Switzerland.

If Switzerland prohibits the use of Bitcoin, then the free space for Bitcoin as in El Salvador must also be heeded by the El Salvador embassy there.
That's my opinion. Then in the event that El Salvador will build a Bitcoin embassy in Switzerland, is there a more detailed explanation?

Well, an embassy usually have some kind of diplomatic immunity to grant them legal immunity from the jurisdiction of another country's laws. So certain packages cannot be searched and some actions are excluded from the host countries laws and regulations.

Now, I wonder if this is extended to the "currency" being used in those countries where Bitcoin is banned. How would an embassy benefit from using Bitcoin, in a country where it is banned? (They cannot use it as legal tender... so what can they do with it?)  Roll Eyes

El Salvador will be a Great Nation

The first days after El Salvador started accepting bitcoin there was much news about accepting bitcoin in this country and obviously there you could find many people who were unhappy about it and many other people they had not have enough knowledge about bitcoin payments in their lives but time after time this adoption will make thing normal in there and you can see positive effects in the future, they started doing this as a first country so the way is wide open for all other countries to accept and embrace bitcoin payments in their countries.

But this is done in advance to accepting the embassy. The host country has every right to reject the embassy from establishing their own rules they still need to be accepted by the host country. That is why some embassies in the past have been forced out of the country because the new government does not agree with their own rules. This happens every couple of years so it is not like it has not happened before.
