Ublockorigin can help against ads on computer, some antivirus can help too. But some people have little amount of bitcoin on phones nowadays, no matter how small the coins are, it has to be protected, ublockorigin is not having a mobile phone one, what can be the alternative for mobile phones?
On android you can use brave browser, which has the default option of blocking ads. Not only do they block ads they have a reporting system where you can take a look at the ads that block by brave browser.
Many other browsers have that feature too but I found brave's UI is more comfortable like a google chrome's. You can find many ad blockers or antiviruses for phones but the only place you see an AD is on a browser so they are kind of useless for me.

EDIT:
I think everyone is aware that ads sometimes have malware injecting something into your computer, and clicking pop-ups might also help stole your crypto if you are not careful, well here is another victim that shows even an experienced person sometimes makes mistakes, and teach us to double check everything before clicking, because once you have done it, there is no turning back, this is for newbies to be more aware of where they click or website they go.

I hope this will help newbies and experience people not to be complacent when dealing with your crypto via the world wide web.

OP, we have similar awareness post with the same exact backstory behind the post- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434897.0

No adblock for android is the most recommended so far for unrooted devices, just found adguard[1] (if you are willing to pay) which I think is at least what you asked for. While not open source, they do have a github page to track their development activity[2].

1. https://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/overview.html
2. https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForAndroid

I've been using adguard for years already on my smartphones, the times I rebooted it and forgot to turn it on before opening the browser and see all those ads even on reputable websites made me think how can one even navigate through it with an adblocker.
I seriously don't understand how you can do it with one, even checking the weather you have 5 pages out of which 4 are ads and you need to scroll down to actually see the line that was supposed to be on top!

I don't know how accurate these stats are:

but I won't be surprised for them to be actually true!

I am surprised people still don't use ad blockers (especially ublock origin).

Yeah same thing, I don't know how they can do it, when I once saw one of my colleagues closing pop-ups on his laptop before trying to show me a video that started with a 5 seccons ad I was looking at him like, what the hell is wrong with you!

Quote
NFT God, known also as “Alex,” said he used Google's search engine to download OBS, an open-source video streaming software. But instead of clicking on the official website, he clicked the sponsored advertisement for what he thought was the same thing.

Yeah, shows how much trust can you put in those "influencers" who know only how to spam the hell social media with their useless NFT garbage!
NFT "God" , lol!

So just clicking on ads can cause this?  What if you have anti virus?  That doesn't work?
