built my first gpu miner

i am finally breaking down and asking for help, because i think i'm retarded.  i've been trying to install hive os.  i've gotten it installed a couple times with the same result, it goes to the opening screen that waits for a command with selections like userver and stuff like that.  is there a site that helps us noobs through?  i seem to be missing something with all the help pages and you tube videos i watch all the way through then start and stop to follow instructions.

i'm just basically asking if there is a help section, or web page that takes into account that i may be starting everything as a newb.  i just started learning linux last year because windows agrivated me for the last time, and i am basically clawing my way through.  i can flash the program without etcher, hadn't found an etcher that works with newer versions of ubuntu.  i can install my wallet addresses, but when i get to the end of the instructions, remove ssd from enclosure, install in motherboard, it doesn't seem to work. 

i am going to download hive os to hard drive again, get everything i know how to do finished again.  then wait and see if you guys have better you tube instructors or sites for a total green been with no experience, again i am obviously missing something, that is obviously common sense for those familiar with linux based programs.  i have extremely limited experience with linux, or the debian (asuming) based hive os.  i just want it to connect to hive when i turn on the computer, especially when i have the dashboard open on another computer.

Yes there are, they have their own forum website and there's an announcement thread here in this board.
I recommend their official website since you'll find most their users there and the thread here is quite inactive.

well fp91g i haven't been able to get that far yet with hive os.  can't tune my auto clocking (yes, i have researched that) yet, because i can't get the rig to connect.  i can restart the computer remotely from that start screen, but i can't do anything else.  it just shows the linux commands i can use, and when i restart it it goes back to that screen.  but thank you for telling me about the tuning, my plan is to let it run with no overclocking for about a week or two before putting it under the load of overclocking.  i'm approaching it like an engine for a car, ya put a couple miles on the build before you start racing.

is there a translator program for you tube? my travels have only taught me two more languages.  got into trouble while in the military, so i lost the opportunity (and orders) for embassy duty in moscow.  so i was never in the position where i could learn your language.

If it is very difficult for you, then it is easier to start with Windows. But it is better to use a patched version 10 from the first releases.

For begining windows 10 will be easy and start with 1 or 2 gpus. Dont install 12gpus. Many gpus many headache.

Any imager should work installing the HiveOS like Balena Etcher or rufus must be working there might be something you don't understand from the guide you are following.
If you can reply here I can help you with every single issue you have in HiveOS I have been using it for a long time and decided to end it due to not being profitable.

If you can't make the SSD or harddrive to make it work I think the one thing you forgot is by adding the Farm hash or I think Rig ID and password will also work. In my experience, I use farm hash for all GPUs. If you finish adding this rig, it will show in your hive on dashboard there you can remote it and add the pool you want.

Nowadays that we have artificial intelligence asking Chatgpt to help is not a bad idea, he is our best virtual assistant as long as we use to ask the right questions to it. However though I think the best way to learn about HiveOS is Youtube, videos that show complete setup and how to choose which miner, setting up the worker and everything else in order to get up and running like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOU7GJNK0oM which is a great video regarding HiveOS, there are tons of them but I find this most suitable for beginners.

As much as I love mining, I regret to say that I have turned off my mining machine seeing how bad the market is right now.
