I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to post another idea for anonymous delivery of hardware wallets that could work for a lot of people (though not all):

The next time you stay at an Airbnb, order your wallet of choice and have it shipped there under a fake name. Before ordering, confirm with the vendor that the delivery will not require a signature. The mail carrier won't think twice about it as they'll be used to delivering mail addressed to different and unfamiliar names there, as it's common for people to receive packages at Airbnb's. Just watch the tracking and do your best to pick up that package before the host, to prevent them noticing the different name. But even if they do see it, they probably won't care. What are they going to do, refuse to give you the package? Just have an excuse prepared in case they ask about it.

As for the ethical concern of a potential $5 wrench attack occurring at the house after you're long gone, also not an issue. In that unlikely event, the host can just say, "dude I run an Airbnb, it could have been anyone who ordered that wallet. Go ahead, search my house, there are no wallets in here!" That should put an end to that situation.

This method should work in many parts of the world, as Airbnb has spread just about everywhere by now.

This is a big IF, and I wouldn't risk ordering anything expensive like that, different delivery companies and different countries have totally different rules about imports and signatures.
Renting a PO box is much cheaper than traveling and doing Airbnb just to receive a package.

There is however another interesting service I found recently sub-rosa.at for anon delivery of packages, but it is limited only to Vienna, Austria (for now).

Correct, there is the worst-case-scenario risk of losing the package due to issues with the delivery, leading to loss of payment. However, I think that, at least in some locations and jurisdictions, this risk can be effectively mitigated through careful planning and research. Ultimately, it's up to the buyer if this is a risk they want to take.

It's interesting but how could you use PO box and fake name? In my country and I think it's the same like that in most countries you need to give an ID card to rent a PO box. In addition HW aren't cheap goods, so it's risky to give a fake identify IMO. If the PO provider doesn't want to give you the package because he has discovered you're trying to deceive him or because he's suspicious, you can lose $200
