Airdrops speculations thread

I did like a lot, I'd say almost all of their Galxe stuff, their testnet and even KYC'd in Galxe to get the 2500 points.  But still got nil from their airdrop.  Maybe I should've run a node.  I saw a couple of guys got around 1000 TKO tokens for setting them up via cheap VPS.  The monthly was prolly around 20 bucks a month or something.  Not bad.

Anybody here have experience in running a node?  Give me some suggestions on which VPS services to use please.  Thanks.

Yeah, very unfortunate that Taiko will treat galxe participants like this after putting much time doing all their numerous galxe quest and engaging on the testnet task.
Am genuinely disappointed for not having any allocation despite all the galxe points and all the several testnet activities i have. I also have galxe passport v2 and claimed 2500 points. I think they randomly selected wallets to airdrop to. It doesn't seem like there is a specific criteria on wallet selection.
Am looking forward to Ionet, hopefully the allocation will be soothing

I did some of their galx stuff, after a while they kept pushing more and more campaigns, got fed up. Didn't do kyc but got those 2500 points with gitcoin passport, got 123 $TKO myself, and its trading at $1.83 atm on bybit pre-market, good enough for effort put.

^  Kroma responded to Taiko's fumble by increasing their airdrop allo from 7% to 17%.  I think it's not just a response to that but a response to most of the other teams that have fumbled in their own airdrop schemes.  The Kroma Quest Master NFT that everybody likes laughing at could cook.  It's just a tad over 30k NFT's minted.  Kroma is under farmed imho and could pay off nicely.   

Anyway...  Have you guys dropped by LZ's discord lately?  Lol.  It's the new Wormhole.

It is a bit amusing that Polyhedra stated that there are robbers and thieves on their ticker which is $ZK and it is the same as the zksync ticker which will choose $ZK over $ZKS.
Is this going to be a feud for the first time I've seen? Like if it continues like this they can take it to court to win it.
So far zksync has not provided any clarification.

And why did they use 'ZK'?  It's already pretty obvious that zkSync would be using it.  They should've used POLY or PLH or something.

Edit:  You guys think Kroma Quest Master holders will be eligible for an airdrop even if the holder just bought it off of the market?  It's selling at just 71 bucks at Hypermarket rn.

I have some experience about such scenario.

I had Mode network early adopter NFT, Mode team announced that holders of this NFT will get extra points, I didn't care for extra points as I didn't expect much from those and wanted to cash out as soon as possible, so I did instant sell on bid price.

Funny enough, I got points for holding NFT and since NFT got sold too so those 90 dollars were just extra. Poor luck for buyer.

Later in their discord, people were arguing with Mode team that they should have locked selling of NFTs after the announcement, as plenty users bought nfts for extra points but they lost the money and didn't get points either

Hundred bucks is generous, Polyhedra airdropped like 10 bucks to each user.

This is not the only case when someone wants to get an already used ticker. Please note that Taiko has appeared on the Bybit premarket, which uses the $TKO ticker. But we all know that the $TKO ticker is used for the coin of the Indonesian Tokocrypto exchange.

Meh ok.  I'll just hold on to my Quest Master NFT and see how much in the airdrop it makes me.  Lol.  It was like one of the most tiresome I've ever did to get eligibility for an airdrop.  I hated myself while I was doing it because I started it late and time was limited.  But was able to finish it with a day to spare.

As for Polyhedra...  Wow.  10 bucks?  They deserved to be bullied then.  Not that I'm saying we should be expecting more, I mean it's free money.  But still disappointing.  Glad I faded.

Well I know this is not the only case that happened there are many similar tickers out there, but what becomes more interesting is this feud where many influencers compare between PolyhedraZK and zksync.

In addition, PolyhedraZK said that zksync is not a blockchain maker so they just took away the rights, actually maybe they said that they didn't want confusion among the community if the ticker was the same, but maybe for me this can be distinguished even though the ticker is the same.

If you have any idea about Cashmere Lab project (backed by binance I heard) recently gave more preference to those holding their both mainnet and testnet nft.
They gave huge chunk of GOAT points to nft holders, although there is no info about conversion ratio to the token yet but the project seem under farmed just like kroma.
And the interesting part was they gave points to both users who minted and those who both from the market. Maybe same will apply to kroma, just my opinion.

^  I'll look it up, thanks.  If it doesn't take a lot of figuring out and if there's ample time, I'll go on ahead and do the quests.  The Kroma one still has me going thru PTSD.    That thing better pay.  Lol. 

And these testnets are getting me a bit tired.  The barrier of entry is so low, I don't think most of them are gonna pay off.
