I have a 2017 Lealana 0.5 Monero coin that is nickel plated brass from an auction a while back. She is #130 and came as the “unfunded” version…. Has “unfunded” laser etched onto holo. (Looks like laser etching anyways). I need help finding the public key to fund her. I thought maybe the public key was etched on the coin somewhere very small or lightly like some other lealana releases but it isn’t. Can’t seem to find the original sales post or reference to keys list. Can anybody help me out and point me in right direction? Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys

my best advice is ask the person you bought it from - they should have the address

Another Lealana paperweight huh?  Too bad there’s not a public directory of addys like every other maker has on this forum 🤷🏻‍♂️

This may defeat the whole privacy aspect of Monero.  Besides, one would need the view keys.  Has any maker (that has produced Monero products/collectibles) publicly published Monero addresses and/or view keys?

Yes. Phishead and Polymerbit collaborated on some xmr notes and view keys are published in the thread. Sorry I can't find it at the moment I'm on the road. 🤷‍♂️

I reached out to seller and am awaiting response. Not a huge deal. Just like funding pieces when safely feasible. First Lealana Monero coin I’ve had so wasn’t sure if info was on original post or was only given to original buyers. May be sh!t out of luck. Either way still a great piece I’m happy to have in the collection.

There’s legitimate reasons not to. First of all simple privacy concerns. Then you’ve got potentially very serious issues with hackers/scammers using it to ther advantage. I’m not going to go in depth on this but I’m sure you can put two and two together. If I made coins I’d not list mine.

That said, the maker should be more willing to lend a hand.

Which privacy concerns?. I would like an explanation

I can't see any risk, especially with monero, if the makers provide only the public address with the serial number of their coins.. You can't do anything with the public address except send funds to it... you can neither trace it nor draw conclusions from it or.. wondering if I could be wrong ?

Monero uses two key pairs: a “spend key” and a “view key”, each with their own private and public key pair. The spend key pair, is used to spend funds

Public Adress: The public address is for receiving payments / you give someone who wants to send you XMR or, as in this case, to load this coin

Public View Key: The view keys is used to display incoming transactions e.g. view-only wallet (taxes, justice etc)

Private Spend Key: The spend keys is used to sign monero transactions = spend your funds
