Because of the increase in the financial leverage of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency a lot of fraudster are budding under the umbrella of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to scammer people especially those who are not much grounded and knowledgeable of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency like me. Instance, some fraudster will send you a link through WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media telling you to click the link to register for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin with hope of making much money from the link but immediately you click the link they will access to all your information and then use hack your account and be using it for their fraudulence activities or better still scammer the you.
So if I may ask, how can we identify this kind of fraudsters?
From time this as always been the problem crypto users have been faced with, there will always be threats from fraudsters and hackers that’s why we are being taught to play our part and safeguard ourselves against these threats. They are threat to not just less knowledgeable people but everyone in the crypto space but the difference is just that knowledgeable people are aware of this threat and are fully prepared by safeguarding themselves while ignorant people are well exposed and that’s why they are easy targets. It is now a general knowledge that we should avoid clicking links sent to us by random people and never believe any unrealistic promises of earning free money or easy money.

Scam is easy to identify and if you have found a way to secure your private information to some extent it will be difficult to fall victim, also when a person messages you about certain investments to make money and is trying to convince you to invest then that should ring a bell of suspicion. Once you avoid clicking links sent by random people, never believing an investment idea that earn you quick money and never sharing your personal information with anyone then you should be secured enough. Also you need to be vigilant at all times.

It really annoys me when I hear that someone falls a victim of scam by just clicking on a random link sent to you via WhatsApp or Facebook, I mean, how can you be clicking on any link you see just because a stranger you don't know says so, even if the scammer uses the account of a close family member of mine asking me to click I will first of all verify before I do anything, I have trust issues when it comes to links. You should know it's a scam when it sounds too good to be true mate, just like when these low budget scammers ask you to invest 20k and get 100k in the next 48hrs and people still falls victim to these people, na greed they worry some people Sha if not how people go believe 20k to 100k. I have trust issues when it comes to links or any online stuff unless say na me create am or na my close friends and family send am.

That's true, scammers will always promise good amount of money that you will be so carried away and fall into their trap. Another thing to know about this scammmers is that they come after you, they always make request first and they try to convince for you to just do things the way they want. The best thing to do to always avoid scammers is to always make research about things that you don't have much knowledge.

Be like this your autocorrect Dey really do you bad thing o, e just Dey turn everything to “scammer” for you. I first read am for your subject and I said, well, make I just pass but then again, e don reflect for your OP. If na those links o, avoid am, if na offer way too good to be true, avoid am. If na offer way them family people never get and na only you them wan give, avoid am. I have trust issues when it comes to links or any online stuff unless say na me create am or na my close friends and family send am.
It's really crazy when someone says they clicked on a link and that's how their account disappeared or they got logged out of their email or something like that. Even when I send my friends and family some  airdrop link, they always ask me, 'Are you sure which one is this one again? Hope it will not wipe my Telegram.' They still confirm for me. Talk more of a random number, no proper intros, it's just message that says click on this link to get your  $200 bonus from bla bla bla. And you just click or invest $20 today to get $100 next week. Why not give me the $80 profit, then keep the $20.

Or you just see email from random email contact that is not even from your location, and you just click. Everything looks so fishy when you see these email from scammers, they literally spell themself out because it looks obvious and unusual. The offers are always ridiculous. Nobody making legit money will come to your DM, begging you to invest so you will earn money or asking you to click a link so you start earning. They don't have that time.

You are the one that go after genuine investment. You are the one that look for people to mentor you. So it's really crazy for people to get scammed like this. once you see such a message, just block the person, don't even inquire more because probability if being scam is high.

There have been much awareness about possible phishing Links been posted all around both social media and even other places, as a member of this forum, i believe if you have been studying well on the forum going through helpful threads you should have caught a glimpse of this awareness and not fall a victim.

Me I go advise you say when you see link dem wey dey fly around, if possible no click any of them nd if you must, make sure say you get a second phone wey you no put plenty info inside dey use am dey do all d link Waka so when u click d link, dem no go get access to anything reasonable from that phone in case them hack am, I feel say na one legit way b dat or you go just avoid dem totally.
