Joe, you are very old member member of this forum in terms of how long you have been in this forum and your stated age. But I havent seen you post much recently and I remembered your username only from that Green translator text.

Sadly these type of scams are very common these days, I think maybe you have been less knowledgeable about such scams in the recent days? Have not seen you to be active much on this forum.

These scams become way more common when events like hardforks, Conversion to new tokens etc happen and scammers use the SEO to optimize their scam pages like that. 7200$ is no joke money, indeed one would be devastated to see such a loss. Sadly it is not coming back we all know, but do go the legal processes that you can afford for now.

I was inactive on the forum due to the fact i was not making much from bounties. its all my fault and i should have been more careful...

What happened is I used a post on medium that had a scam address to which I sent my matic to get the new pol token. That was not required and the coins would have been converted automatically.

I'm genuinely sorry for your loss. But, I can't believe you actually fell for that scam. You sent your entire life savings to a stranger's address based on a Medium article? Are you serious? Did you not conduct any due diligence or consult with trusted sources before taking such a rash decision?

No. Your life is not ruined. You learned an important life lesson (albeit an expensive one), but that's it. It's just money. There are more important things in life to worry about.
