In fact, there are a lot of underrated sports. Many of these sports have something about them that prevents them from being widely popular. It has already been written here that, for example, fights without rules will never become as popular as football due to the small size of the arena where the fights take place and the possibility that the match could end in a few seconds. But I would also name those sports that require a different element, so to speak. For example, water sports. Rowing and water polo will also never be able to compete with football. I think that it's a bit off hand to compare them with the popularity of football. While you're right that those sports are underrated but I think that people are starting to see its significance and they're considered now as a sport instead of being an outdoor activity.

Board games are also underrated just as the mentioned of likes such as chess. These sports have came from being a hobby and just some activity and now turning into accepted sports and that's why they're considered underrated.

The time will come that these sports will gain more popularity and will be even recognized by bookies upon seeing the demand from it but as you've said, I agree that they might not come close to the likes of football.

A great coincidence to me because I've just seen some good darts game on the web. I think it's true that it is an underrated sport and even though I don't play it at all, the entertainment that it provides to its watchers, fans and not is great. At the same time, it's the same with archery. These sports aren't popular as the others but they've got a huge potential once these sports have grown a lot. This time, people are into physical and contact sports and that's why the odds are better there as there's more demand and more fans that are into it. Of course the bookies won't just get into the underrated ones that even they keep on pitching the matches but there are no bettors, they'd just stop it. I would probably agree with you here.  I've just recently become aware of slap fighting and how it all works.  Man, there are some crazy mofos who participate in this sport.  Not only do I find the men's competitions interesting, but also women's slap fighting.  I personally would have no interest in ever doing this myself, but it sure is a lot of fun to watch!

There are many sports that are not given much attention even though they present great opportunity for gamblers and are easier to win than events that have many participants. One sports I love so much is basket ball and I don't think many people play it in sports betting. It is pretty easy to win, the options are many with reasonable odds. I believe that the sport that is easiest to make money in is the one that you know deeply or more than most other bettors.
And there is one more factor... there is no point in having a sport with high chances of winning if there is little demand for betting on it.

I'm currently enjoying betting on Formula E... not that it's something very "different", but it's a sport that few people really know about, many of those who bet on it are out of curiosity.

(1) I think the approach is different for the issue of betting, I don't understand when you say "it's very promising", a sport is promising when its odds are @2 but we know that an odds of @1.2 is the real one, this is not It is about feelings, it is about knowledge.

(2) It is a belief to think that soccer is one of the sports where there is the most betting, yes, but globally, when you go by region this is not the case, for example India, it is cricket.

So, the sport where it is easiest to win is the one where the odds projection is met according to my expectations.

Believe me, when you have a clear betting strategy, sports take a backseat.

I see nothing new or surprising here since people box each other faces for money and even wrestle. It's actually entertaining especially during our childhood days but for now I don't have much interest in any games that are physically brutal. I can still relate how we practice wrestling among ourselves after we finish watching it, these things have negative impact in our society. It would be more crazy when you are being asked what you do for a living and you say slapping  betting on them would be much easier to predict and perhaps, that's why some bookies exclude such games in their sites.
