Is there an innovation with faxing? because AFAIK, there's not that much difference on it and it's the same as before.
I think what op is looking for is the digitalization of faxing.
It’s basically faxing but the document is sent or received via the internet or is accessed in your devices. If you ask what is its difference to an email is basically an email is a text while a faxed document is a piece of document you can never edit. The digitalization of faxing definitely has its benefits such as convenience. It’s obviously much faster to fax a document through online.
But there's not that much at all, I've used fax machines coming from the old version of it through phone calls without the use of internet coming to this point that it's already connected to the web.
And that's why there's no difference at all from those eras.
It’s also much cheaper since you don’t need a physical machine for it.
Only if you are the sender.
So maybe I'm understanding this problem, actually what you're saying about the popularity of FAX machines, it's true that during work I still see some companies still have some additional means to transmit downloading information from FAX machine. But as I mentioned it has gradually become less of a priority because of the emergence of many new tools with more specific features, which actually also give a fair view of its ability to solve problems. But in the situation I mentioned above about the behavior of using FAX machines in Japan, they keep old habits and are not the top choice with current technological developments, it's just like some people still choose to send letters in the present day.
That's right, there are still companies that do their business processes in the traditional way just what you've mentioned about Japan, they're known for something like this.
They want to retain a culture so that it won't die off wholly.
