For the benefits of those that have been used to the Internet in getting updates, we should know about what is happening in Nepal today, but for the benefits of those not being conversant with the updates, here I the summary.

1. The citizens are protesting over the government for good governance, because of high level of corruption is too much and those affected are the poor.
2. The citizens lack access to all basic amenities of live and wanted a change for equal opportunities for all in the country.
3. People took this protest to the street and the government banned the use of social media in desseminating these challenges and their outcry to the world to see.

Before you could know what is happening, what was known to be a protest turned a serious fight against corruption and bad government and the est of the story could be fetch online, because you might not like how this took shape later.

What you should learn from this, our leaders don't have to wait till they push the people to the wall and they begin to act against them as we have in Nepal.

Revolution by Discord ;-)
Maybe it will be the young people (Gen Z) who finally save the world.

The Gen Z are taking it as a revolution to finished what the government already started on them, with the way things are going more advanced with the use of digital technologies, it is not proper in seing these privileges are being deprived of the people to use the social media, I hope other countries are learning from this.

it's actually becoming a trend with bad Government adminstrations world over. Every time citizen try to use social media to complain about bad Governance or do a small protest. They decide to turn off social media or the internet

What the Nepal government did not know was that turning off social media would lead to outrage from the Youth. How dare they try to take away that one thing that keeps the desperate youth engaged and not think of protesting? It was very poorly calculated, and I hope other leaders around the world learn from this.

Protests by citizens and students occurred simultaneously in several countries, not just Nepal. Large-scale protests also occurred in France, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The reasons for these demonstrations were almost always related to poor governance and high levels of corruption in these countries, while people lived in hardship and poverty.

Simultaneous demonstrations occurred in several countries, but what happened in Nepal was no longer a demonstration but a power struggle. The mob not only burned buildings and official homes, but also attacked the officials themselves. There were even reports that the wife of a Nepalese official was also killed and burned along with her house. I can't imagine the suffering the Nepalese people have endured, causing them to harbor such deep resentment and hatred towards their government.

I am deeply concerned by this incident, because in these demonstrations, many people were killed in the fight for change. But I am proud that after the action, the community unitedly repaired and renovated the public facilities they had previously damaged. And what happened in Nepal is a strong warning for governments in any country to be more just and transparent in leading their countries, and all policies they implement must be in the interests of the people.

Are they also the first country that have elected their new leader through discord? the gen z's have started it all. And I guess it will serve as a warning to other corrupt nations that don't think the voice and power of these new generation would hit them a toll. They're powerless because of the government but if they come up together and show it through unity, they're the power of their people. While we don't condone killings from these protests, they'll only reason out that they also don't condone corruption and stealing of funds that are disabling them through opportunities that should be for them.

They are so corrupt that they don't even have security for their own leaders. Smiley

Looks revolutionary but it became possible only because the country is so small and the police or army is not enough to cover the number of population but imagine if the same thing comes up in China or US? Do you think people can still revolutionize such a thing for losing their freedom of speech or paying taxes and getting nothing in return? I doubt it.

shutting down social media usually makes things worse in any country whose government tries it because in today’s world, young people see social media as their main voice, so blocking it only adds more anger to the protest. Governments always think it will stop information from spreading, but instead it will just push citizens to protest even harder. corruption and bad governance are the real issues and  if those are not fixed!! no amount of internet ban will calm the people, it is very sad that the protest turned violent and it caused loss of life.

Poverty and oppression could push people to take action that would lead to a change of government. Politicians don't have power, the power belongs to the people.  When these few politicians feel that they can misuse the mandate that was given to them, the people would fight violently to take away the power. The Nepal case is just an example of what the people can do to corrupt politicians if they become fed up with their maladministration. I hope this revolution will bring good governance and prosperity to the country.

I am just wondering about what sense of defamatory does the government of the Nepal mean that on-line agitation will cause when masses uses the internet to create harness awarenesses about the misconducts of their government if not of the interests to blanket their evil doings.

If it not a step stone to silent the people and want them die in silent, what would that impact solutions to the peoples opinions? Because not even when the people comes to do the physical protests would the authorities hear them. Surely they will use launch attack on the protesters using the security networks just to disrupt the people's peaceful protest which I believe it is one way that erupted this scandal.

How stupid it is of the governments thinking such acts will not be showcase online in this digital era that internet accessibilities and technologies has made speculations easier with that of their intentions of not letting the innocent and privilege masses express themselves to the awareness of the public or probably the  world.
