No update since then. Does anyone know what happened to him? Perhaps someone who know him in person or have other form of contacts. Hope nothing bad happened. I remember him today again after long time.

From what I can tell from his activity in the gambling section, it's unlikely he left the forum because of an overdue loan.

I hope someone finds a way to contact him.

I also don't think it's the reason for the loan. He used to be a good poster and had good knowledge of gambling. If I am wrong he was a high end regular gambler.

It would be a real shame if he left the forum because of a 0.02 btc loan. It was just over $300 at the time so its possible that something in real life got in the way.  Although I dont see him being a participant in Duelbits sig. campaign then even though he has their signature, right? Thats weird.

It's obvious that the reason for not paying the load is because he is not round anymore. Considering the account holder's activity and actions repaying that due was not a big sum.

It may be a good idea to have a thread like this dedicated to active and regular users on the forum who go AWOL. We can limit it to users above certain rank who have a good reputation and very little reason to suddenly become inactive on the forum for several weeks or months.

In the process of updating such a list anyone with info on any of the users can come forward with details on that and it can also serve as a sort of remembrance for those users we have no real life contact with but who had a huge impact here on the forum.

Without really knowing where they are from and how much $450 (0.02BTC at the time of the loan) can matter to them it's tough to say if that was the reason or something else.

Seems odd that an account that was in a signature campaign and that old with a decent reputation would run for that little amount but you never know what else is going on.

The unpaid loan is probably the least significant reason, maybe just 1%, considering that the user is a solid contributor to the forum. Once you're at that level, it's easy to find a good signature campaign that pays well, so paying off a loan shouldn't be an issue. Plus, if you can't repay on time, DS is pretty understanding and would likely allow an extension.

If we look at the loan application dated November 4, 2022, with a two-month term, and compare it to their last post on December 5, 2022
, it hasn't even been two months. Assuming the user was still in a campaign at that time (since DS doesn’t usually offer loans to those without one), it’s unlikely that the loan is the main cause.

The real issue is probably something bigger, and most likely a mental or physical health problem rather than the loan.

I dont know tomahawk9 personally but I remember him from gambling board before he suddenly stopped posting without explanation.
He has a loan defaulted for 0.02 BTC but I dont think that was the reason for him to abandon the forum.

If I'm not mistaken he's Spanish, I've seen him create topics or posts in Spanish locales, only those in the area might know of the existence of @tomahawk9, yes, I also haven't seen him in a certain section for a long time, some members in Spain may know of his whereabouts, is he still there or.....!

But I'm not sure whether anyone knows @tomahawk9 in the real world, as far as I know, many of the local Spanish members who registered in 2016 are no longer active, only a few members are still active, considering that Spain's territory is quite large, it is a little difficult to detect @toma's whereabouts, however we hope that someone can find out what happened to him, hopefully.

Yeah the guy was very active in e-sports thread, it's high unlikely he left the forum due to the 0.02 BTC loan, although he should have paid it since defaulting a loan isn't cool.

Yep he ever shared his telegram username and based on the contact, his last seen was within a month. I've try to reach him, not sure if he will reply my message or not.

It's good that we care about users who left without any notice, but I think we should respect their decision and stop looking for every bit of personal information on them or trying to track them to their physical locations. It's a forum and everyone will get tired and leave at some point in their lives. We can only wish them good healths that's all.

I agree, but situation is little different if they owe some money and if they need to pay 0.02 BTC to someone in forum

Yes, I remember tomahawk9 and I really miss him. He was important part of our gambling community. I remember how he suddlenly stopped posting in the middle of football World Cup. There was no prior signs that he may leave forum. Don't believe that he left because of failing to repay loan. I was worried that something bad happened to him, but then it looked that nobody don't have contact with him outside forum.

I hope it's some kind of indicator that he is ok. If he wouldn't be active on Telegram at all, it would be written Last seen a long time ago

No one knows for sure why he has been inactive since then, but everyone who knows him on the forums wishes him well. I didn't interact with him much, so I don't know him better.. From the way he posts, he is a knowledgeable user in the gambling section and that is evident by his high activity at the boards. Maybe it's not because of the bad loan issue, something else could be the cause of the user's inactivity.

It isfrom this thread I am hearing about him. I don't know tomahawk9 because the time he left (inactive ) is the same period I joined the forum so I don't know the impact/legacy he created in the forum and from my end experience in the forum activities, and observation, many people are leaving the forum because of the stress. Many people just on their own left the forum quietly and probably because of the life challenge and such thing doesn't need public announcement. And this an anonymous participating forum, he came without informing people and he left without informing people. Though what the Op is saying is good and it is good for those who are close to him to know if all is well. But it is a personal decision. But a sudden leaving of the forum was not a good omen. Depression can make someone to leave the forum.

The someone in question left the forum and hasn't looked back, don't think he cares much about any outstanding loan here anymore, so why should we? - we shouldn't be looking at other people's money Mafia

What good would that really serve, though?  If someone has actually left the forum for good, whether it's because they're skipping out on a loan or they're burned out with all the crap that goes on here or at the extreme end if they've died, we'd just have threads with a bunch of shitposters making short, insubstantial posts about a non-problem that nobody would have a solution for even if it were a problem. 

If someone wants to take a break for a while or disappear entirely, I think that decision ought to be respected whether they've said farewell or not.

The username tomahawk9 vaguely rings a bell, but if he posted mainly in the gambling section any bells in my head wouldn't ring all that loud anyway.  If someone knows the truth about where he is or why he left, post it.  If it's been posted, lock the thread lest it start inviting the myriad vermin who post in any thread with a title posed as a question.

Nothing really came out from the discussion except a Telegram information. I did not create the topic to get any personal information too. The aim was to know if he is okay.

It's obvious to me that the loan is not the reason, the reason is something else. Whatever the reason is let's hope tomahawk9 is fine and healthy. Hope they will be back someday and although the reason does not look like the loan default but they will repay the loan. I wish his good health and mental peace. I go and lock the topic.
