Multibit core website? Do you mind linking that?

I don't believe their website is live anymore, and if it was, you certainly wouldn't have been able to use for anything but downloading the actual software wallet.

Multibit have been offline for a few years now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2293714.0

And if you're referring to this: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/110389/question-about-multibit-core-wallet-not-sync (see the answer given).

Then this is not any better

...

You might want to contact reputable expert walletrecoveryservices to assist you with your Multibit wallet recovery. Dave has years of experience with various recovery challenges and would be my first choice if everything I've tried myself failed so far. I have no affiliation with https://www.walletrecoveryservices.com.

No. This is most definitely a wallet you should stay away from. This website is clearly trying to take advantage of Multibit's name to scam people and they definitely were not around 2015 as they claim.

If you want a reputable wallet for BTC, I suggest you use this as a reference: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

If you have already downloaded the multibit classic software (today it's only officially available on the developers' github).

If you have the wallet file password, you can use the 'export private keys' feature that is available in the wallet tools tab. You must enter the wallet decryption password and a new password to protect this file, leave without the password (so the file is readable).

This way you can import into wallets like Electrum, Bitcoin Core, Bluewallet etc.

What is very strange is that if I search on Google for multibit classic, I find several sites with beautiful UI Design for such an old wallet, in any case, never download this wallet from sites like this, go directly to github, otherwise, If it's phishing you end up losing all your coins.
