You can see an alt coin that its price will increase significantly and give a better ROI to people that invested in it when the price was low. ONDO price has been increasing all month until this month. If the price continue to fall it would be a greater loss for people that are just investing.
This is what makes people lose their money: FOMO.
They see a coin that is doing well and then it will take them a long time to figure out whether they in fact want to invest or not or is it worth it or not? At some point you have to realize that a lot of projects are not for long term and if you miss the window of buying cheap and selling at its peak then it is probably not wise anymore to pursue it any further
There are lots of ways for a crypto user to lose their money but no doubt that FOMO'ing in some cryptos is the major cause of it. When you FOMO, you don't think longer but your decision is already full or final that you will invest on that certain crypto, thinking it will pump more.
Realizing can come in two ways and that is:
1.) Once we fail. It can be twice, thrice or more, if one failure is not enough.
2.) Would be is when we do a research on our own. About the project the OP is talking about, I don't see anything that is extra-ordinary based on how he described it, so I'd be very careful dealing with it. Maybe we can only treat it as a short-term investment because some users imply that there is a hype forming in it.
