This unification bout is something to watch out for because they are the best boxers in the super Lightweight champion, this is Ioka's 26th title fight making him the favorite between the two, but Martinez has proven himself the best champion in the division, having beaten Ancajas twice to wrestle the title.
Besides, between the two, he is the undefeated here.

Quote
An agreement in principle has been reached to stage the junior bantamweight title unification bout pitting Japan’s longtime champion Kazuto Ioka versus Argentina’s Fernando Martinez in Japan for the first week of July, an official connected to the negotiation told Boxing Scene on Thursday.

Martinez, 32, became IBF champion by defeating Jerwin Ancajas of the Philippines in 2022, a triumph he backed up with another unanimous decision victory eight months later.

Martinez is the most likely to win. Because if you check the stats, he is young, and driven by the passion to get the victory that will make a difference in his career. While on the other hand, Ioka who already has his moment in the ring with a lot of wins under his bet  may not be as motivated as his opponent. Ioka is almost at the end of his career and you know how it is, the drive is down. I hope I am correct with my analysis and that Martinez gives me a winning bet. If he wins, he will be held in high regards by fellow country men, Matthysse and Maidana.

Good, make a beat on Martinez because he is the underdog here as Ioka is the slight favorite at 1.69 against Martinez 2.08. And it's true that Filipinos won't forget "Pumita" as he beat Jerwin Ancajas twice, first he get his belt and in the rematch, he dominated Ancajas and Jerwin was not the same anymore as he lost to Takuma Inoue, and he is 1-3 in his last 4 fights.

And it will be great if the winner of this fight will fight the winner of Bam Rodriguez vs Juan Francisco Estrada, another great fight at Super Flyweight. So let's see how this fight will, obviously Fernando Martinez will have to travel to Japan, but he is no stranger in fighter everywhere and probably he likes to go to the champions backyard and beat them in front of their fans.

I voted for Kazuto Ioka By Decision.

Even if Kazuto is old as per boxing standard, Martinez is not that young anymore at 32 years old. Kazuto has more experience and probably face a lot of great champions throughout his career and so that experience will play a big role in this fight.

And then as what other Japanese fighters are, they chooses to fight in their country and so Ioka has that one big advantage as well as he is going to be very confident fighting at his own backyard.

I haven't seen the odds yet, but I speculate that Ioka will be the slight favorite here.

Maybe it's not listed in sportsbook yet but you can see here https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/kazuto-ioka-v-fernando-daniel-martinez/winner
Ioka is a slight favorite, probably because the venue is in Japan, but I think I would bet on Martinez to win as he beat  Ancajas twice, so that says he is really a quality boxer. He also have some power though, 9 KOs in 16 fights, so I hope he'll be able to win by KO so he would not worry anymore of a possiblity of being cheated.

I'll also go for Martinez, Ancajas is considered the Philippines' new crop of top fighters and to beat him unanimously shows how good you are, Martinez is a real slugger he loves to slug it out so the fight is going to be a slug fest between the two and based on my analysis Martinez will come out a better slugger because he has quick hands compared to Ioka who picks his punches.

Ioka has a good chance if he chooses a tactical method and don't allow himself to engage. in his fight against Donnie Nietes he showed patience against a highly technical Nietes, but I'm sure Martinez will dare him to slug it out just like what he did against Ancajas.

Outside of his wins against Ancajas, the names on Martinez’s record are pretty unremarkable. Ioka undoubtedly has the benefit of being more experienced and having faced much better competition. Japanese fighters have been dominating the lower divisions and I think Ioka will further consolidate this dominance. It is extremely rare for a Japanese fighter to lose in Japan, I don’t really expect Martinez to be the one who can break this trend.

You won't know, it's the experience that counts besides that Ioka's last fights are all win and the most recent one fight was a KO means he can still give a decent fight to a younger one. His fights were also in regular matching like he fights twice a year, unlike Martinez who just fights mostly once a year so the odds were probably not that hight between them.

Voted for Ioka to win by decision.

Though Martinez is the younger of the two fighters, i think the experience and Ioka will be a factor going into this fight. I observed that Ioka is improving in his last few fights and with this fight to be in his home turf, he will show to his countrymen what he is made of.

Yeah, it seems that as Ioka is getting older, he is also getting sharper as the years goes by. And probably in his previous fights against some great names, he had some good experience with it. Although I would love to see him and Nakatani before for unification but it didn't happen probably because both are Japanese.

Martinez is known to be the one that breaks Ancajas twice and Jerwin was not the same anymore after the beating that he get from Martinez. So he has a tall order here, because as you have said, he will travel to Japan and it's Ioka's home turf and it's very hard to win in Japan unless Martinez is going to knockout their champion so that judges can't manipulate the results.

And lately, Japanese fighters have been carrying this big momentum as they have a lot of world champion lead by Inoue. And in this case, Ioka will want to continue with that tradition fighting at their home turf and we haven't seen a Japanese lost in their home soil for the last couple of years.

So yes, I will also go with Ioka here, too big and that experience in world fight will carry him all the way if the fight goes to distance. But I think Martinez will make this fight very close but Ioka getting the win in the scorecard here.
