So Kamala Harris started raising money soon after Biden dropped out of the presidential race, and gathered a reported amount over 50 million USD in under 24 hours.

Does this say anything to you? We're a forum of a digital currency so so much money moving so fast makes me think people here are going to consider it significant. I await to see if this was mostly grassroots donations from many individuals that donated small amounts, or mostly a few big donors that gave most of the money.

How does this event make you feel?

This much support for her campaign indicates a good public opinion on her but a well-funded campaign does not automatically give a candidate the win. She still has more work to do if she wants to catch up to Trump.

The Democratic Party elite have chosen their new candidate, and it apparently isn't Kamala Harris, according to a bombshell report.

The New York Post reported Monday that a "well-orchestrated palace coup" had been in the works for weeks but Joe Biden resisted every step of the way.

The report went on to say that part of the "elaborate strategy" to remove Biden included allowing him to debate former President Trump to expose his ailing cognitive faculties to the world.

"That debate was a set-up to convince Democrats that he couldn't run for president," a source close to the Biden family told the Post.

Interestingly, Kelly is married to former Democrat Rep. Gabby Giffords, who was almost assassinated in January 2011.

The choice could serve as a counter to widespread sympathy for Trump after he was almost assassinated on July 13.

Notably, other corporate news outlets have reported Kelly was among the top vice presidential picks for Harris, along with Gov. Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper.

The post added that Obama conspicuously refrained from endorsing Harris, instead saying Democrats "will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead."
