Sorry I will dispute to that. You don't measure success by how much you are giving to the society instead, that is generosity.
Even before you will have to positively have effect on the society, you will need to be rich enough that you can afford your needs at any average of expensive rate which is a worth of your wealth before you can spread out. Remember that you only give what you have.
So when you are not successful you will be handicapped to help others obtain their own success.

I would also add here that success — and achieving one’s goals in general — heavily depends on a person’s mindset. In this case, both lack of focus and excessive obsession can be equally harmful. When someone is either too distracted or overly fixated to the point of ignoring everything else in life, it usually doesn't lead to the desired result but rather pulls them further away from it. A person should maintain a balance between what they want and what they already have, staying motivated to improve his life while also appreciating what he currently possess.

Of a truth, some people thinks that when they have achieved a certain level of success that it's best to stay away from people around them or their community but it's not good and such people are only successful for their own selfishness. Anyone who is successful should be able to extend hands to others and make people around them feel loved, that is what success is all about.
