Fairly new to all this tech, so apologies and thanks in advance.

I want to buy Kaspa.

I live in England UK.

Can I buy Kaspa on coinbase and store it on my Ledger Nano S Plus, like I do my bitcoin? I know Coinbase don't sell it directly yet and this is what's confusing me.

I've tried watching some online videos, but it doesn't seem straight forward and some videos are months old, making me think that perhaps it might be more simple now. One guy was suggesting you need to use it in conjunction with the Kaspa wallet on the kaspa website, but another guy said it was foolish to use that. So confused what to do. Want to learn how to do it safely and cheaply.

Thank you.

You can buy KASPA on CEX or DEX.

On Coinmarketcap, the Market tab, you can choose All, CEX or DEX to filter available exchanges.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kaspa/#Markets

If you buy the token on Coinbase, make sure you withdraw it to your non custodial wallet, but Coinbase charge you expensive fee. You can try with no KYC centralized exchange, than Coinbase.

No, you can't buy Kaspa on Coinbase according to them, Kaspa is not tradeable. You can find Kaspa on their app, but it's just a data chart that was sourced from Coinmarketcap and you can't buy or trade Kaspa directly from Coinbase.

If you want to buy Kaspa, look for other exchanges from the link posted by tbct_mt2 above.
Or try Bitget because I know they offer global exchange, so the UK might be included if not try bybit and Kucoin.

I did some research on YouTube and found a few buying guides for Kaspa, but the instructions only cover how to purchase stable coins like USDT/USDC and move them to other exchanges that support Kaspa. This means that Kaspa cannot be purchased directly on Coinbase.

First look for exchanges that are licensed to operated in the UK and probably have a trading pair of kaspa like KAS/USDT or KAS/BTC. After that you can link your bank account to the exchange or buy BTC or USDT from coinbase, transfer it to exchange two, Buy Kaspa which you can then withdraw and deposit to your Ledger.

I have a friend based in the UK, and she also finds it too hard to trade some assets or even use certain exchanges as they are not allowed there, so I usually try helping here out.

Kaspa gained its fame because it makes a good profit if you mine it. Mining for value makes profits, but you may not get the same profits from trading. In other words, choosing the ideal project varies according to your needs. Whoever sees that Kaspa is a good project and makes profits does not mean that it will be suitable for you or will make profits for you.

Regarding the platforms, since you cannot trade it on Coinbase, you can use any of the non-KYC CEX / DEX, one of which is the platform in my signature.

I've checked over ten of those and none of them are registered with the FCA. I just want to do it right. Banks here in the UK close accounts for not doing things correctly. Any other suggestions?

I don't live in the UK, so I don't know what to recommend, but if you can buy USDT on Coinbase, then buy USDT first there if it's ok for you to verify KYC and provide documents.

Once you've bought USDT, you can use godex.io or any non-KYC exchange to buy KASPA.

Check other non-KYC or decentralized exchange here https://kycnot.me/

Can't find a single exchange registered in UK that support Kaspa trade. I followed an online video that employed Coinbase, avalanche and Simpleswap. It worked, but I lost 5 dollars of my 20 dollars that I used to exercise the transaction. Simpleswap do not list their charges so I'm highly reluctant to put a larger amount through.

Avalanche were supposed to be free, so I'm assuming the cost came from Simpleswap, with possibly a small charge from coinbase.

Why is it sooooooooo complicated??

Can anyone please recommend a cheaper option, or an exchange that publishes low fees?

Many thanks again.
