First of all I have seen so many post similar to this topic so I like adding my own ideas when I come up with a plan so I will share a little of my own knowledge here.
So many people in this forum have been asking what they would do if they persuade someone to invest in Bitcoin and crypto currencies and at last they don't see success, so I came up with my own idea so I won't go wide I will just state based on the topic I have made.

A person can't persuade another to do something when they have not yet seen the results for example, you as a child you depend on your parents for every of your up keep and at the end of the day you go telling them that you have an investment you want to introduce to them, and knowing how our African parents can be smart with questions especially when it comes to an online business that involves money it will be a waste of energy trying to persuade them when they haven't seen the good news in you but when u stop depending on them and pay ur bills they will be wondering what's going on they will want to know what you do from there u fit run enter them and they will be eager to listen.

So the only way to persuade a person to something is when u are the example of ur words.

We all knows that cryptocurrencies is not stable because they all fluctuate, even the coins we think is stable is not stable because it can not stay in one position for over a year or a half. Even though we have made a profit from crypto currency and we advised someone to invest on them, those same people you advised to invest in Bitcoin might not be opportuned to make a profit as you do, they might lose and you will answer to their questions. Crypto currency is not for all that is the reason why you it is not good to persuade anyone to invest on it.

Sharing additional ideas of an existing topic is not bad if your ideas are good enough to stand on their own. It’s true a lot of people have been asking how they can persuade a person to invest in bitcoin but the truth is in my opinion i don’t really see the necessity in trying to convince people to invest when in the end they will pour out the blame on you when the investment doesn’t go well. You shouldn’t force yourself to convince people, when a person shows interest in bitcoin you should not hesitate to teach them but i advise you don’t make it a priority.

When introducing people to bitcoin, you suppose allow them know all the basic things wey bitcoin Dey about, and you no suppose even force anyone body to invest in bitcoin, because if anything happen to their money, na you dem go hold responsible, dem go talk say maybe na you scam them self, so when investing, make sure say you tell them say Dey fit lose money, no hide anything from them, because if you wan hide things, if anything later happen, na you dem go blame, and you go come be like bad person.

Yes na the koko be that, nothing like say you wan force person make them learn about bitcoin. Na just as i say, if anything do their money dem no go allow you rest them go blame you about their losses so na why you need to properly explain the basics to them so they will know what they are getting into so they don’t blame you later.

Seeing is believing that what people want, I agree with wetin you say because you no go dey under your parents care and the same time you  go persuade them on something wet go bring money, they no fit believe you because say they dey do everything for you, but as OP talk am wen you don dey benefit from that thing and the thing they show for your body then dey go like listen to you because you be example of that thing. The only advice wey I go give this person be say make him go find more knowledge about crypto and make e dey try go am with small small money wen em they get before him go call other closest people.

It won’t be a complete waste of time, in my opinion. How your parents will react to the information will depend on the type of relationship and connection you keep with them. If you are the type that respects your opinion, even when they are still the ones supporting you with little things, they will still listen to you if you bring investment discussion to them as long as you have every detail information about it and you can answer all their curiosity questions, but if they still don't want to go ahead, you let them be; that’s their decision, not because you haven’t invested in it but because they don’t want to take the risk. 
 
I can remember finding myself in a little bit of a similar situation during the time of MBA FOREX Investment that was before my time in this forum, where I convinced my mom to support me with money that would be collaborated together and invested with the expectation of weekly payment, but at the end of the day the money ends up being stocked there. She trusted my information not because I have first-hand experience but because she trusted me as a person and her child.

Op I think the word persuation shouldn't be used in terms of Bitcoin investment irrespective of whom you are trying to convince, though I have thoroughly look at the points you made concerning the subject of discussion which you categorically stated that it may have been discused earlier by some other persons, your observation and points regarding a potential Bitcoin investor is right because i believe that someone who wants people to invest in what he or she is fully involved in, should have something to show for it, Bitcoin investment is practical and everything involving Bitcoin investment should be a personal stuff so persuasion should be frowned at even though you prove to them that you have already gotten some profit in it, its also advisable to allow whosoever that's involved to make a personal decision to that effect to avoid blame.

I really love your point about showing what you have achieved so far in Bitcoin before preaching to other people about Bitcoin investment but I want you to also understand that different individuals has different believe as such there is nothing you will do to convince them to invest in what you tell them irrespective of your practical examples, these individual has centered there mindset in different things and it has made them to have a myopic mindset about every other investment no matter how beneficial such investment could be them.

The reason why it is not good to persuade anyone to invest in bitcoin or even do anything in the crypto space is that, whether holding or trading is all attached to some certain risk, that is, not everyone will be able to take the risk, so instead of persuading someone to invest, you rather educate that person in a way that they will understand because persuading is just as if you are going to convince them to invest or trade. And that is why the blame is always on the people that make them get into crypto because they did not let them know about the risk that is attached to what they were about to do. 

Exactly, it is not a good idea to persuade someone to invest in bitcoin not only bitcoin but any other investment or business must especially when it has to do with online. Because you will be thinking that you are doing that person a huge favor, hmmm you will never knew whether it is a favor or a disaster until everything goes wrong with the person money, because some people are not going to think that you were trying to help them, they will put all the blame on you, and you will be lost in thoughts because you will not be able to defend your self.

Rather I suggest that you should motivate the person but don't convince them. Make them see what you have earn and profits you made in bitcoin investment, explain how risky it is to them, make them understand that they will gain and they must lost, that is a fact. After you've explained everything to them they will decide whether to invest in it or not. No matter how much you try to convince some people they will never agreed to it, because they will be thinking that maybe it's scam.

Honestly I can not tell anyone to invest in Bitcoin or crypto but the least I can only do is to share the little knowledge that I have in regards to Bitcoin  and other coins but when talking about investment I think that it should be a thing of choice for anyone to personally take that very decision because people has a chronic ways of blaming the person that encouraged them in to investment when things didn't work out as expected but when it works out good they also find it difficult to show appreciation, telling anyone to invest maybe wrong but rather you should teach them what you know and allow them to make that investment decisions that is opinion as to this regards.

African parents are very sensitive when it comes to online investment especially when they are not familiar with trends and tech. At some point, I have to build up a trust between my parents and siblings for them to invest into Bitcoin and crypto.

Even though I might not have made some profits from it, I have to tell them about investors who are making good money from it and how Bitcoin have been appreciating from the launched day till date.

1.Bitcoin is a volatile digital asset.
2.Holding for a long term is more profitable than the short term.
3.Building an emergency fund in order not to tamper on their holdings
4.Introducing a suitable accumulation strategy like the DCA strategy.
5.The best storage platform to hold their Bitcoin for a long term.
After educating them on the basic knowledge of investing on Bitcoin it's left for them to make their decision.

You will think that you came up with a nice plan for you to persuade your family members specifically your parents in to crypto currency. But I will tell you this for free, the biggest mistake to make in crypto currency at large is to persuade someone to join. I know you will be surprised, but due to it complexity it is very easy for someone to loss all his money in just a small mistake and they will direct their mistakes to you since you are the one that introduced them.

You have a good intention to introduce your love ones to crypto currency, but the truth is that you should not persuade anyone to join, but if there have the wish to join and they meet you to teach them then you will use that opportunity to explain more to them.


I know you will like to see people that you love success, but persuading them to join is really a wrong decision. Because is not all of them that will have that strong heart to endure the loss of funds. We all know that the economy of Nigeria now is not smiling for anyone, let know the decision you make.

There is nothing bad persuading people to buy Bitcoin but I don't think I have try to convince anyone to Buy Bitcoin unless they perhaps feels like buying it and ask me to guide them, that's when I try to help them through because you see Nigerians, they are very problematic with money, many of them are impatient and are ready to skin you alive if there money expected doesn't goes as plan and because Bitcoin is unpredictable, I don't stress myself.

Another challenge why I don't bother myself is that the economy is tough for everyone, we have to admit the truth that parents are trying to adjust to the current economic situation and the increasing inflation in the country and because Bitcoin might not give quick return on their money, it's better I leave them use their money to handle the stress of the economy and how to handle the increase in general rise of goods and services, some parents and families are just alive, this government has messed up with them completely.
