Announcing the New Bismuth Information Hub

Our top priority was ensuring this new https://bismuthcoin.org website is not dependent on a single domain. By leveraging GitHub Pages and the Hugo static site generator, we give the Bismuth community a fully forkable repository.

- If a valuable website goes offline, it is better to have anyone be able to clone or fork the GitHub repo of the site to instantly restore the website on their own domain.
- The site’s main branch automatically generates content in the gh-pages branch, making updates and replication seamless.

Softfork Announcement

Upcoming Bismuth Soft Fork at Block 4,380,000

The Bismuth team is preparing a soft fork at block height 4,380,000, introducing two major changes:

1. Removal of Hypernode Sidechain
The hypernode staking system will be removed from the mainnet. This means staking will be discontinued.
While staking rewards have already been paused, there will be one final payout to all eligible stakers.
Going forward, GPU mining via Proof-of-Work will be the only way to earn Bismuth.

2. End of Test and Development Fund Rewards
The blockchain will no longer allocate new rewards to the Test and Development Fund, handing full control to the community.
Existing funds remain available for future development or potential exchange listings.

Node Upgrade Recommended
We recommend all miners and node operators to upgrade their mainnet node before block 4,380,000.
This is not a critical security update, but network consistency is essential.
