It's funny that in the beginning of the thread people are saying that OP is too late to buy ETH because "the market is dumping" Cheesy It was only a few weeks ago and you can see how quickly things can change.

The cheapest way to exchange BTC to ETH is a coin swap feature available on some exchanges like coinbase. It allows you to turn one balance into another without fees.

Of course I wouldn't recommend going from BTC to ETH now because I feel like BTC is only waiting to explode again and ETH gained a lot in the last 2 weeks, so it could correct when Bitcoin starts to move above 40 thousand.
Right now there is not a huge difference at least when it comes to profits when you invest in ethereum or bitcoin but as you say while this is true now I think that during the next months we are going to see bitcoin going up even faster than ethereum as more retail investors decide to invest in bitcoin out of FOMO, right now the price is going up and I think we can expect to see a few new all time highs as the chance for more and bigger profits will be taken advantage by traders once again.

A year ago I bought 1 BTC and 20 ETH
I have very high hopes for eth and was wondering if I should transfer all or some or none of that bit coin into eth.
It’s dumping right now but I was thinking since there’s a discrepancy in the price might be a good time to get in
Let me know ur thoughts
Thanks so much
I understand your thinking.  A year ago you bought 1BTC and 20 ETH as the price dropped and you are wondering whether to invest in ETH anymore.  Cryptomarkets have price volatility and prices fluctuate.  If you have high hopes for ETH that it will increase in value in the future, you can sell some BTC to ETH, but there is no need to sell all BTC.  As a result, you can also ensure some profit and maintain the potential security of Bitcoin.   Basically the crypto market is very volatile so it's best to do your own research and decide on your risk tolerance.

Of course Bitcoin is the best, because if you invest in Bitcoin you will definitely get profit and if you are patient, the risk is very less. Bitcoin has hit an all-time high at the moment, but the Ethereum coin has yet to set a new record price high.
So I invest in bitcoin and I like bitcoin investment, because in bitcoin investment the maximum risk is low and the maximum benefit is high but the investment has to be long term.

This is true, but not a lot of people want to make money slowly, and that's why they dislike bitcoin. The funny thing is,  bitcoin is an investment that makes more money than anything in the traditional investment world, but that is not the thing it gets compared with, and usually they ended up comparing it to other coins and because of that bitcoin looks a bit slower to them.

In reality, of course bitcoin is the best investment and I would suggest that too, but if people are insisting on looking at alts, then at least look at the top ones and make money based on that, it would make a bit more sense that way. If you look at like top 10 or top 20 then at least you could consider yourself making some profit the way it is and should not be really looking that bad.

In this I support bitcoin because no doubt every person will support bitcoin, the king of cryptocurrency is bitcoin. One thing you should note is that Bitcoin is the only trusted coin where there is very little chance of loss if the investment is for long term.
Long-term investment only brings success to the top, and the world's largest institutions are holding only Bitcoin. But I don't support ethereum coin, if I have bitcoin because I can't think of any alternative but bitcoin.

Yes, we are in the bitcointalk forum for a reason and not ethworld, because bitcoin is a great coin and there is no other coin that could do as well as bitcoin could do. I understand some people may have their doubts and they want to make more money but that doesn't mean that bitcoin would be a same thing to beat, we are not going to see that easily. At the end of the day we are not going to grow at all, we need to focus on how to make some money with whatever we do, and for that to increase well enough we need to focus on how to make more money.

I am sure that we are going to see people have a look at altcoins a bit closer these days because they hope to make a lot more money, as in literally get rich enough to retire with this bull run, and to do that you need to invest into something other than bitcoin, but that's not going to be ETH neither, so ETH is neither as strong and good as bitcoin, nor as profitable as some altcoin.

Bitcoin is the most trusted currency, Bitcoin should not be compared to any other coin. Now if one wants to invest in crypto market then he has to choose Bitcoin first. Investing in currencies other than Bitcoin is unwise. But one thing can be good, if someone plans to invest in altcoins after investing enough in Bitcoin then he must choose ETH. Like Bitcoin is the king of all coins and we can say Ethereum is the king of altcoins. However, currently the price of Bitcoin is increasing very fast but the price of Ethereum is not increasing comparatively.

I believe bitcoin can reach 1.000.000 so don't sell. Just keep putting money from your salary or other income to eth and profit.
